The Diary Game: I was a Master of Ceremony at End of Term of Royal Kindergarten Schools (26/7/2025)
Happy weekend my great friends from this prestigious community. I hope you are doing well. I am great from Southern Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State. It was a busy weekend for me. I was invited by one of the top-notch nursery schools to be a master of ceremony for them . I was doing the talking all through. It was an amazing moment. Come with me, let me tell you how my Saturday was.
This was the fourth time I was invited to moderate a program of a school's graduation and end of term. The last was last year March before I joined Steemit on October. It was a memorable moment as well then as I thrilled the guests with jokes and cracked their ribs with laughter while regulating the event. This particular one, came while we were about to finish exams in my school. Remember I told you about our preparation to send forth SS3 students.
A day after the event of snapping the students pictures for the school magazine, I was given an invitation to regulate event in a school at Uyo town, a densely populated area of the state.

Two days after the invitation, was the event. I had to plan on how I would give my best to the school. In the eve of the D-Day, I slept late because I stayed late reading how to regulate event as an MC. I wanted to be different. I needed to prepare myself very well because I could also attract another job from here.
When I woke up by 5am, I got into house chores. Because the event was billed to start by 10am, I didn't bother to rush my house chores. Besides, the last Saturday of every month in my region is declared by the government as an Environmental Sanitation Day, where every citizen is to stay at home and clean his or her environment. I started cleaning the toilet, then the kitchen and then I washed few clothes. By 9am, I was done with sanitation in the house and then I prepared a little soup that I would eat to the occasion. Immediately after this, I took my bath, ate and was ready to leave for the occasion.
I left home by 10am because I know the event would not start at that time. I arrived the venue by 9.49am. just a few people - pupils and parents were seated, waiting for the event to commence. When I got there, I went to meet the headteacher in her office to agree with her how the program would look like. After I was briefed , I came out and ordered that the event should start. I started handling the microphone.
After the opening prayer and the national anthem, I set ball rolling. I started calling different class teachers to bring their pupils for presentation. Each class had to present two items.

Intermittently, I brought in dance to keep the occasion active. To sustain the interest of the guests, I brought in a traditional dance to spice up the event.

After each class presentation, I cracked joke and brought in games. I also inserted drama and chorography.

It was a colourful event. Little children displayed their talents to the admiration of their parents and guests. Although I got exhausted at some points, I was also excited with their performance.

The event came to an end with the presentation of certificates and awards to outstanding pupils and teachers. By 3pm, it was all over. I was entertained with refreshments. I returned home tired because I was behind the microphone for almost four hours.
When I got home by 4pm, I had to refresh myself and then slept for a while. When I woke up by 6pm, I went to visit my friend whose wife put to birth on Friday. It was a joyful moment as I sat with him for more than two hours.
I came back home about 8pm and then went to bed and slept off.
That was how my Saturday was. Thank you so very much for visiting my blog. Keep steeming. God bless you
