Hi dear friends in this great community. How are you doing? I hope your weekend is gping smoothly and that you are doing well as well. I am great too. You know that I love weekends. Apart from being a resting time from tedious work, it affords me an opportunity to attend engagements. I attended a burial of my friend's late mother. It was a fantastic event. This is why I want to tell you how my Friday's activities were. Please come with me and enjoy the sights from my weekend.

I was up from bed before 6am. I started preparing for the day's engagements. I didn't want to leave any stone unturned in trying to fulfill all my activities for the day. I had two engagements to attend: A burial of a friend's late mother and my student's matriculation.

I quickly brushed my mouth, after waking up. I went to bathroom, took bath and then rushed to give the cloth I would wear to dry cleaner to iron for me . When I got to his shop, there were other customers who were also standing by to iron their clothes. Since the guy is the person I know, I begged him to help iron mine first because I was going to a far distance for a burial. Thank God other customers understood and I was attended to first. By 8am, I came back home to take a light breakfast and then left. We were going in a group as a church, so the bus that conveyed us was already waiting for me. By 10am, the bus had left to my town, Nsit Atai Local Government in Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria. It was a distance of an hour.

We reached the burial place by 11.10am. I was afraid I would be late since I was schduled to handle the moderation of the entire event. Thank God, the program didn't start when I arrived. People from different places traveled to attend the event. I was happy to have been invited to moderate the burial. I immediately started the event with an opening prayers and then proceeded to other items in the program chronologically.

The crowd was inexplicable and the weather was clement. People from political, religious, and social organisations attended the event just to commiserate with the bereaved family.

Bro. Sunday George's late mother was peaceful according to the testimony of one of her children, Ekong George. As a moderator, I advised everyone to live a peaceful life to attract God's blessing.

The burial program ended by 1.50pm. I urged the driver that took us there to speed up so we coukd return to the city on time. We came back to the city where I live by 2.25pm. when I got home, I had to quickly change up and wore another clothes because I was sweating as a result of the scorching of the sun.

I went straight to the University of Uyo just to attend a matriculation ceremony of my student. Imaobong Udofa was a student I taught four years ago in secondary school. She didn't get admission immediately and had to learn a skill within the period she waited for admission. I was happy that my literary student who studies law had finally gotten admission. I went to honour her invitation. I spent just an hour there and then returned home.

<div class="text-justify" My afternoon activities ended here.

I came back home by 5pm. I was extremely tired and I needed rest. I undressed, went to bathroom and refreshed myself. I came out, ate a little and then relaxed. I didn't know while I was relaxing, I slept off.

I woke up by 7.20pm to prepare a lesson I will teach my Senior Secondary Three(SS3) students who are writing external examination this April. I have been teaching them literature every morning so they could catch up with the syllabus. Finally, I went to bed by 9pm and slept.
But before I slept, I had to post my activity for the day

My weekend was very engaging although I really enjoyed every bit of activity I was involved. It was a great one. That was how my weekend was.

Thank you dear people for reading my post. Have a nice moment.
