My Dairy Game: A Friend's Wedding (8/3/2025)
Happy weekend to you my fellow steemians in Steem Cameroon Community. It has been long. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. My weekend was so so stressful although filled with excitement and events. I want to tell you about the wedding of a friend I attended. Stay with me and enjoy the sights.
Unlike other days of the week, I usually wake up a little bit late on weekends because having been waking up very early to prepare for work everyday, I have to relax a little on bed during weekends. But last Saturday didn't follow the protocol. I had to wake up early because I knew I had a lot of activities to engage in.
In the morning by 5.30am, I was up from bed, after my morning prayers to the Almighty. As usual, I cleaned the house and did some laundry. I washed few clothes that I will use for work next week.

The marriage was billed to start by 2pm so I had to put things in order speedily at home before I could leave for the marriage. By 10am, I had finishef washing my clothes and then I took bath. I didn't have a lot of time to prepare breakfast. I had this idea that when I got there, I will eat. I did this for the fear of being late to the event
Mandu, is a colleague at work place. She is also a closed friend to me. So I wouldn't stay away from her marriage. I left home around 1pm. I thought that when I get there, the marriage won't take much time to commence. I had a role to play there.
The distance from my place to the venue is a 50 minutes drive from the public transport. I took a public transport from the description i was a directed. The last road to the venue was by motorcycle. I was cheatef by the motorcycle driver who collected more than normal pay because I have never been to that place. In stead of N300 in Nigerian currency, he collected N600. Thank God I arrived there safely.
It was very unfortunate that the occasion didn't start as scheduled. I arrived by 2.30pm, saw only the decorator tying to decorate the venue. I was disappointed because I thought the event will start on time so I can return home early.

I had to wait for other guests to arrive. Intermittently, I moved out, strolling around the neighborhood of the venue just to while away time till the event start officially. But the sun didn't smile with me. It was hot that I forced myself to return to the venue. When I came back to the venue around 4pm, a significant number of guests had started arriving.

The occasion finally started by 5.20pm. it was great although a number of those who came early had gone home. I had to wait to see my friend Mandu, who is also my church member, get married.
I got few pictures from my friend who snapped because my phone's battery was down.

Mandu is a quiet and a reserved type while the husband is a little bit outspoken.

After the event was over, I couldn't find mobility to the main road since it was an interior area. I had to trek a distance to the main road to board a mini bus to my place. It was already 7.50pm.
I came back home around 8.50pm, tired and exhausted. I undressed and went straight to the bathroom to refresh myself and then took dinner before I rested. I slept around 9.30pm.
That was how my Saturday went. It was a very engaging weekend.
