My stressful day at work. [20-05-2025]

As I packed up my things and said goodbye to my students on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. It had been a long, stressful day of teaching, and all I wanted to do was go home, drop my back, and relax. My son, Princewill, was stirring at me, and I could tell he was just as exhausted as I was. We had spent the day at school, and the heat and humidity of the Nigerian sun had taken its toll on us.

As i sat on my chair carrying Princewill, I suggested we take a few pictures together to lift our spirits. Princewill's face lit up at the idea - he loved taking pictures! We snapped a few photos, and I could see the tiredness melting away from his face as he smiled and posed for the camera.

After few minutes of photographs and relaxation, we headed back to the house. I just changed up and took a shower and my son too. Just as we were finishing up and took a light lunch, we heard a chorus of cheerful voices calling out to us from next door. "Aunty! Princewill!" It was Saviour and Ubongabasi, our neighbor's children and Princewill's good friends.

The two boys came bounding over to our house, big smiles on their faces. "Welcome back, Aunty!" Saviour exclaimed, as Ubongabasi chimed in with, "We missed you, Princewill!" Princewill's face lit up even more as he greeted his friends. The three of them started chatting excitedly, swapping stories about their day. I watched them with a warm heart, feeling grateful for the simple joys in life - a loving son, good friends, and a warm welcome home after a long day.

As we spent the rest of the evening together, laughing and chatting, I felt my tiredness melting away. It had been a stressful day, but in this moment, surrounded by the people I loved, I felt truly at peace.
