A surprise birthday cake to my friend, Promise. 11-06-2025.

Today was supposed to be a day filled with laughter, celebration, and making unforgettable memories with my dear friend, Promise Usim, as she marked another year of life. But fate had other plans. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I found myself leaving Uyo earlier than anticipated, and a pang of sadness hit me knowing I wouldn't be able to celebrate this special day with Promise.

Determined to make the day special despite my absence, I had made prior arrangements with Synach Pastries & Services to bake a surprise birthday cake.

I envisioned the look of delight on Promise's face when she saw the colorful design and her name elegantly written on the cake. Mrs. Mariam, the CEO of Synach Pastries and Services, assured me that she would personally oversee the presentation, putting my mind at ease.

As the day unfolded, I thought of Promise and wonder how she was reacting to the surprise. Then, my phone rang, and her excited voice filled my ears. "Thank you so much! I'm blown away by the cake! It's stunning!" she exclaimed. I beamed with joy, feeling grateful that I could still make her day special despite not being there physically.

We chatted for a while, and I could sense the happiness radiating from her voice. It was clear that the surprise had made her birthday even more memorable. As we wrapped up our conversation, I reiterated my apologies for not being there and sent her all my love. Promise's response was filled with appreciation and understanding, reminding me of the strong bond we shared.

Though I wasn't there to celebrate with Promise in person, knowing that she felt seen and loved on her special day filled my heart with warmth. As I looked forward to reuniting with her soon, I smiled, grateful for the gift of friendship and the joy of making memories together, even from afar. Happy birthday, dear Promise!
