The Diary Game (23/06/2025) A visit from my mentor

Hello, beautiful people of this great community. It's your favorite girl, #missyLeo. It's really been a while, and I believe you're all doing excellently well. As for me, I'm doing good by the grace of God.

I stepped out of the house as early as 6am to attend a crucial meeting with some of my colleagues at work. Upon arrival, I found that some of them were already there, while a few were still on their way. Shortly after, my boss arrived, followed by the remaining colleagues, and the meeting commenced immediately.

It was an intense meeting, dominated by our boss's passionate address. He was visibly upset and expressed his concerns about the nonchalant attitude of some colleagues, which is impacting not only the rest of the team but also the site's security.

After the meeting adjourned, I headed home, but not before something caught my eye. A beautiful hairstyle on one of my colleagues grabbed my attention, and I walked over to compliment her. I asked if I could take a picture of the style, which she graciously allowed. The hairstyle was stunning, and I fell in love with it. I'm now planning to try it out next time I get my hair done.

After taking the photos, I headed back home, arriving around 10:50 am. As soon as I walked in, I was hit with hunger. Since I didn't have any solid food at home, I quickly prepare up a bowl of noodles to satisfy my hunger.

After finishing my meal, I decided to take a quality nap. Thankfully, the electricity was on, and the fan provided a comfortable breeze as I slept. Initially, I intended to snooze for only two hours, but I ended up sleeping for over four hours, which is unusual for me. Nevertheless, I was glad to have finally gotten a good siesta, as it had been a while since I'd had one that refreshing.

As the darkness fell, I felt hunger again, but laziness got the better of me. I was craving a good meal, specifically swallow, which I hadn't had in three days. It was a tough one for me, as I absolutely love swallow.

Just as I was about to head out to buy ingredients for my egg soup to eat swallow, my neighbor's daughter came to my room seeking help with her assignment. I was torn between telling her I was busy and going about my plans, or lending a helping hand. My better judgment prevailed, and I decided to assist her, especially since she hadn't asked for my help in a while. So, I ended up using my phone to help her complete her assignment.

The assignment involved drawing the solar system, including its various planets, as well as illustrating a lunar and solar eclipse. I used YouTube to demonstrate a simple drawing technique, and then guided her as she worked on the assignment.

By the time we finished the assignment, it was already a few minutes past 7 pm. I was exhausted, and just as I was about to rest, I heard a knock on my door. To my surprise, it was my mentor, @megareigns, and his elder sister, who lives in the next compound.

I was taken aback by his visit, as he usually informs me beforehand whenever he plans to drop by. This time, however, he didn't give me any notice, which was surprising, especially since we had been chatting just earlier.

They actually had a valid reason for visiting me, they needed to charge their electronic gadgets, including phones and power banks, since there was no electricity in their area, including their sister's house. That's when it clicked, and I said to them, 'Now I understand why the surprise visit.

They stayed at my place from 7 pm till after 9 pm. During their visit, my mentor was helping his sister set up her account on the Steemit platform. At some point, I prepared a snack of pear and garri, but they declined my offer to join me. So, I ended up enjoying it by myself.

After finishing my snack, I walked them out to the road as they departed. I then returned to my room, took a refreshing bath, and retired to bed, bringing an end to my eventful yesterday.
