The Diary Game: Early Year Masquerade/ Having A Full Day Rest Of From Work [14/05/2025]

Good day my steemit friends, how are you all doing? I am bringing the best of regards from Nigeria to all the meaning steemians out here, so Thursday was more of a resting day for me because I had a day off from work, please permit me to share how my day went.

Since I came back from the night shift we did at work, all I did was to bath, brushed my mouth and go to bed because my eyes were heavy and was turning red. Before I went to bed I had already set my alarm to wake me up by 11am so that I can wake up and cook what to eat.

I slept from 7am fill 11am but I added few more minutes to my sleep because I was just rolling on my bed when the alarm rang. When I finally left my bed, I heard some noise from outside the compound so I went to check, it was actually students and pupils running away from masquerade and according to what I heard that the masquerade do come out early anytime we have a cultivation season and according to people's beliefs that they symbolize abundance and all but then it's tradition so I didn't argue.

When I went back inside my house - I took some money with me and went to the shop outside inorder to get some stuffs for breakfast, initially I was planning of getting rice but on reaching there I changed my mind and bought beans and yam to prepare beans and yam porridge.

When I got back home, I selected the beans and peeled the yam then prepared the yam and beans porridge, this food takes time especially when you are parboiling the beans and brown beans do take time to soften so it took me till 1pm before I was able to prepare something to eat.

After eating, I took my bath again since I was sweating up, I bath and dressed up to go and meet a friend of mine who came back from the UK not long ago and was travelling back very soon, so he asked I should come and help him out and I am glad I was able to help him out then came back home.

While I left his house, I saw this book that got my attention in his shelf and I took it out and asked for his permission and he told me I can have it for myself so I took it back home, it's actually about Atomic Suicide and it is written by a couple named Walter & Lao Russel. I have been so kin on knowing how atomic bombs was made and how bad it could go if it falls into wrong hands, so when I got back home I began to scheme through it, I am already getting the background of atomic bombs.

I was bored reading this book so I closed it and added a divider to it then stepped outside to go and watch football in the nearby field, when I arrived there they were few of the players and I was discouraged that I wanted to even go back home but then I stayed put.

By some minutes pass 5pm, the players began to come out in numbers and when they were upto to the number they should could start training with, they divided themselves and started the training, one thing I love about their training is that they train as if they are in the field of play that's why I am always choosing them over watching television football.

After watching, I went back home and took my evening bath so I can rest because friday will be another marathon work as we will be working through out the day even till night and probably till Saturday morning but then before going inside, I met my steemit friend @udoikotabasi and we took some shots and talked about Steemit and our progress here before he headed back home and I did same.

When I finished bathing, I called my siblings and heard from them before I started writing my diary and after this diary I will.be going straight to bed to sleep and rest for the day against tomorrow.
