Rice Germination - Macro Photography

This rice was planted a day before this shot. The following day, it started germinating. Why did it germinate so fast? Well, the farmer soaked them in water the day they wanted to plant it.

Also,.luckily, after the planting that day, it rained. So the rice seed didn't waist much days to germinate. This strategy was also used in order not to allow birds eat up the rice as they are just being sprayed on the farmed ground.
