The Diary Game: Attending To House Chores And Preparing The Family's Favorite Soup 09/06/2025

Hello ladies and gentlemen of steemit, I am your friend @joychi102 who will do everything to keep you updated on how I have been living everyday, your permission please to talk about my Monday.

When I stood up from bed, i called my little boy go know how he was doing, by the look of things it shows he has fully recovered from malaria so I took a selfie with him before I went to the bathroom to wash my face.

When I washed my face, I wiped it with the wiper and came to the sitting room so that we can have our usual morning devotion and my husband was the one who took us on the bible study of the day and when we finish, I went outside to go and weed the little grasses that were coming up in the compound.

My kids weren't going to school because of the Salah holiday so there was no need to rush over anything. After I finished weeding, I asked my daughter to boil water and make custard for themselves while I bought akara for them to eat with it so that I can concentrate with washing of clothes and tidying up the kitchen.

I hand-washed everything because there was no electricity to use the washing machine, I washed my hubby's, kid's and my own clothes then hanged them to sun-dry. When I finished washing I took my bath and brushed my mouth then I ate the small custard my kids remained for me. I was not going to the shop either so my husband was in charge of the shop.

When I finish with my food, I went to the market and bought Oha leaf, I don't know how it is being called in English, it's my family's favorite and since we were all going to be home together I thought of cooking what everyone loves so I picked Oha soup as the best.

When I came back from the market, I changed up to my kitchen wear and started preparing the soup, there was light now and I made sure the water and drinks in the fridge was chilled so that we can use it to wash down the soup when I am done with it. My kids were doing their assignments so that means I will be doing all by myself.

After I added everything to the shop, I allowed it to be on fire for some time and then I brought it down and dished some into a bowl and took it to the freezer to preserve it because I don't like warming soups over and over again.

I also dished some for me and my kids to eat then I dished that of my husband's and took it to the store and gave him, I waited for him to eat and finish as I also sold things to customers while he was eating so that he won't be disturbed and when he was done I took the food flask back home and washed it.

I went back home and this was already 4 in the evening time and I was tired so I joined my kids to sleep small but the noise from my neighbors did not allow me to stay and I stood up and went to my kids room and arranged them while they were still watching movie in the sitting room.

In the evening when my husband returned, I made garri again and we ate Oha soup and my kids also ate it as well and when we finished eating everyone took their bath and they all went to bed but I stayed put and made sure I wrote about my day in steemit before sleeping and after I might have done that I went to bed and slept off and it was a beautiful day to behold ,thank you for your time.
