The Diary Game: An Unexpected Public Holiday And How I Spent My Gracious Day 15-07-2025

Hello ladies and gentlemen of steemit, it's your friend @joychi102 and today despite being so tired and worn out I will briefly share my diary with you before I go to bed, so can we just go into it so that I won't waste your time? Thank you.

So I did not know there was going to be a public holiday today, the former President of Nigeria died and I wasn't aware of the public holiday, I dressed my kids and asked my husband to take them to school, only for me to get to the shop after arranging everything out, I saw my husband coming back to the shop with them, at first I was thinking it was fee drive but on the second thought we had paid all their school dues for the term so that wasn't even it, so when I asked my husband he told me about the public holiday, so I said okay and took pictures with them before I took them back home to rest.

They did not eat much when they left the house so I made custard and bought akara with bread and gave them to eat and relax because later in the day we will be going to the shop to stay and let daddy come back and rest because he was not very strong.

So by 1 in the afternoon, I called my husband to know how he was doing in the shop, his voice was saying opposite of what he was voicing out, I knew he was tired So I went with the kids to the shop and stayed. Some things were not in place, waited for him to leave so that I can start arranging the shop.

When the person that supplies us cream and perfume came I bought some that weren't in the shelf and added them there, my husband transferred money to him and he left while I was still attending to customers.

After we stayed till evening, my kids came and we attended to customers together, I removed biscuits from the shop and gave them to eat for still being with me till that time of the day and also helping me out in their own little way. They were happy and we took selfies together one of which is this one.

When we closed the shop, we went back to the house, these shocker I received at home was just overwhelming, my husband had prepared us food to come back and eat, he washed all the dirty plates we left in the afternoon. We ate and I shared my diary then I was stressed out and I went to bed.
