The Diary Game: School Runs And A Busy Day At The Shop(07-10-2025)

Hello, I'm sure most of you are yet to know me, I am Imabong Mbong Kenneth by virtue of marriage and @imaken on Steemit. I am a wife, mother, businesswoman and a Christian. I joined the platform yesterday through the help of my good customer and now mentor @purpleidy23. I am throwing in this brief introduction for those who missed my introduction post yesterday though it's still there but to save you the stress of going back there to skim through it, here's the activities I did today. As a mother to three beautiful kids, I woke up early to prepare them for school. I prepared breakfast and got my babies ready for school, gave them their meal and packaged their lunch into their lunch box and set off to drop them in school.

I too was ready and moved to the shop after dropping my kids in school, I joined a public transport as my husband had left early for work and couldn't drive us to school. I got to the shop and my apprentice was already in shop waiting for me, I unlocked the shop and had a quick morning prayers before cleaning and displaying my items outside. The shop is big and it takes long to set it up for the day and when I was done with the set up, I was hungry again despite the fact that I had eaten before leaving the house. I made tea and ate with biscuits, I didn't want any more heavy food.

My afternoon got busy as I completed the hair I've been working in for the past days now, making braided wigs is not easy at all and it gets really bad when you don't have a worker or apprentice but I am lucky to have one. While on the hair, my mentor in person of @purpleidy23 came to the shop to guide on the next step I will take on my journey in @steemit. She also patronized me by retouching her hair and buying some skincare products, I asked my apprentice to handle the work of retouching her hair while I did the stretching myself.

It was time to get my kids from school and my apprentice had to do same too though her child is in a different school since her kid's school dimisses first, I asked her to go first and get her baby and when she returns she will get my kids from school too. When she left to bring my babies from school, a lady walked past the shop selling plantain chips I called and bought for the children so they will have something to get busy with while doing their home activities, they were so happy when I gave them the plantain chips and I asked them to bring out their book so I could help them do their home activities-assignment before they rest for the day.

I started packing my items inside by 5pm with the help of the kids and my apprentice and we finished by 6:30 pm, my husband drive to the shop and took me and the kids back home. I was tired when I got home and my husnyseeing how tired I was helped me fix dinner while I relaxed a bit, I served and ate dinner with my husband before taking my bath. In summary, my morning activities focused on preparing the kids for school and also getting myself ready for my business. My afternoon activities centered on my activities in the shop, and helping my kids with their home activities and evening activities was more of packing and locking up the shop for the day and my return back home.
