The Diary Game Season 3 [ Momday June 30th, 2025 ] The day i pick a lesson from a Snail

Greetings Steemit friends,

After spending a long night on the road traveling to join my family, I got home super tired. Before the journey, I had chatted with a client and promised to get back to them as soon as I arrived.

I got home yesterday morning, but my phone was off because I had used it all night during the trip. One thing about traveling at night is that you can not sleep straight through. There are moments when you catch some sleep and moments when you have to find something to keep yourself busy. That’s how I ended up using my phone until the battery was completely drained.

When I arrived, there was no electricity, and my phone was completely dead. There was no way to work on my client’s project, which gave me the perfect chance to get some proper rest. I slept all day and got up early this morning to start working on the client’s demands.

They needed an additional page for their website. This time, a static page. It was challenging, but I managed to deliver exactly what they wanted. We already had a good understanding of the concept, and now we have started working on consistency across the site. At around 6 a.m., I was done and stepped outside to get some fresh air.

That’s when I noticed a snail on the plant in front of the house. It really caught my attention as I watched it climbing the plant. It looked like it was not moving at all. But as soon as I got distracted and looked away, I noticed it had moved quite a distance.

At one point, it felt like the snail only moved when I was not watching. That moment gave me a life lesson, A reflection from a snail infront of my home. The snail took its time, slowly and steadily, and still got to the top. That’s how progress sometimes feels invisible while you are watching, but very real over time.

I went inside, had my breakfast, and then logged into Steemit and Discord. I had a few conversations with my team members. We were fortunate to be selected as curators for July. It is always exciting to be part of the curator team. It is not just about support, it gives you that feeling of truly being part of the Steemit family. LOL.

Since I had been up all night, sleep came quickly. I went back to bed and only woke up after lunch was ready. It’s so nice to be home again, especially eating food cooked by my wife. I had lunch with my son, who, whenever I’m around, suddenly claims he can’t eat by himself (haha).

After lunch, we watched TV together and talked. The kids started telling me all the places they want us to visit during the holidays. It was a great evening, and I was just waiting for the Round of 16 match between Inter Milan and the Brazilian team, Fluminense.

When the match started, the kids had already gone to bed since they did not nap during the day. It was one of those games where you expect the more experienced team to dominate, but that’s not what happened.

Fluminense scored within the first three minutes, while Inter had more of the ball but could not get proper shots on target. As I mentioned in one of my past posts, it’s not good when a team dominates possession but does not test the goalkeeper with shots.

As always happens in such matches, the underdog made it worse. Fluminense added a second goal in the last minutes of the second half. It was a surprise result. A 2-0 win for Fluminense, something no one expected at the start.

After the match, I made a few adjustments to the project my client had asked me about. It was already late, and I could not wait until the Man City game. I ended my day by heading to bed.
