The diary game (3/4/25)// Eventful day
Good evening @everyone.
I bring you warm greetings from the north central part of my dear country Nigeria. Hope you all are doing well. Welcome to my blog as I share with you how my eventful day went.
Lately I have been waking up late because the kids are on holidays so no morning school runs. I'm also enjoying the extra hours of sleep. Got out of bed at 7am, prayed and went to the kitchen. Bolied some water and made tea for us. They also woke up around same time so I served us and we ate, did the dishes. I quickly went ahead to peel some yam and sweet potato to make portage for our lunch and packed in the food warmers.
.
My husband helped me bath and dressed the baby. Then I had mine, got set and went to the facility where I'm volunteering. The clients where already there, it was a busy full clinic today. Started going through their folders to ensure all appropriate forms were properly filled and Inserted in for documentation, along side counseling them on taking their drugs at the right time and cracking some jokes to put a smile on their faces. These are some of the things I do that make me feel fulfilled in life.
We were able to attend to all clients in good time and then started cross checking our report to ensure all gaps were properly filled and documented. My baby started crying for attention so I went to wash my hands and fed him, pat him to sleep and laid on the bed. By this time I was already famished so I went to have my lunch. After which we had a meeting with the Doctor and I closed for the day. Quickly rushed to the market to get some groceries, the sun was still hot but I had no choice,I backed my baby while shopping in the market and at a point he became restless and crying, I had to go to one of my customers shop, he offered me a sit and I breastfed my baby till he was ok and laughing then I backed him and continued with the shopping. After that I came back home really tired but had to go straight to the kitchen to prepare dinner. For tonight I made okro soup.
Very simple and fast to prepare and I made sweet potato swallow to go along with it.
My toddlers came back from the salon really famished so I immediately served their dinner and fed them because I don't want them to mess up the place since I was already tired myself.
Also ate my dinner, my husband helped me bath the baby and the toddlers while I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. Had my bath and went to the room, pacified the baby to sleep and quickly wrote my diary and also went to bed.
This was how I spent my day. Thank you for reading. See you in my next blog. Good night and have a restful sleep
