The Diary Game [29/05/2025] // The Unexpected Journey by Night.

Steem greetings @everyone from the motherland-Cameroon and welcome to my blog for another diary game session. Guys, it has been a tiring week for me as I made up my mind to relocate with my kids to a more safer place in the country. I had planned to move out by the end of the month with my former landlady and the cargo driver. He assured me he would inform me 2 days before the travel date.

I was surprised that the driver had to inform me on Wednesday afternoon that I should prepare for him to come and carry those things on Thursday morning. I was confused and did not know where to start with all the luggage we had.

On Wednesday night, I could not sleep, knowing that the cargo driver was coming the next day to carry the things. My husband and I struggled to arrange most of the luggage, and I had to rush to the Bamenda food market to buy some new kitchen stuff and food items. I took a bike to go faster and avoid early morning traffic.

I had to buy a bag of rice, garri, beans, 2 buckets of potatoes, corn, yams, cocoyams, etc. These were some basic food items I bought knowing that I would buy all the perishables during the weekend while the heavy food items moved along with the cargo.

I had arranged with one guy who would travel along with the cargo driver to assist in offloading while I followed them over the week via the bus station. We did all the packaging and the bus came through and carried the things. I had to pass by a bus station to book a ticket for my husband and the guy we begged to assist in offloading when the cargo arrived at its destination.

I had to take a bike to my mother-in-law's place after paying for the tickets to spend almost a week with her and the kids. Unfortunately, I experienced an unexpected twist as the guy I paid for the ticket to travel with my husband came knocking and said he would not be able to make it again.

I was so confused and did not know what to do. My husband was understanding but for me, I was calculating the money wasted and we concluded that we should rather travel along with the kids. Guys, this is the most strenuous journey I have ever taken with the kids. We could not bathe nor eat because it was already too late to catch up with the takeoff time. We hurriedly carry our things to the bus station. I have not got enough sleep for the past 2 days parking and night journeys are never my thing.

We left town early enough on time as indicated on the tickets and my imagination was wild and I could not just imagine myself travelling unexpectedly worse with the kids with no food eaten. But I was still hopeful we could buy something along the way.

My day ended prematurely as after curating with my personal account I had to go offline to at least catch up a bit of sleep before my kids started disturbing.

After the stopover, the vehicle moved smoothly to our destination and I'm grateful that there was no major fault on the way. Guys, enjoy the rest of your weekend while I get into serious work of packing and unpacking.
