The Diary Game [28/07/2025] // A Reflection of my Day.

Steem greetings guys from the motherland of Cameroon and welcome to my blog for another session of my diary game. In my present location it rains day and night and temperatures are low. Though I like cold weather but this kind of weather now is not good at all. One can literally not do any outdoor activities due to rain.

Early in the morning, I had to prepare pap and puff puff for our breakfast. I needed something hot to warmup and stay warm. I had to play my role as a mom to ensure that the kids were properly fed. I had no plans to cook lunch but had in mind to remove some frozen already prepared food and heated for our lunch.

After I was done cleaning the kitchen, I had to work from home and I was opportune to work smoothly with no major disturbances from the kids. Though I had to lock myself in my room most of the time to avoid my toddler son coming in and out seeking attention.

Working for hours and was feeling hungry, I had to warm the precooked food and ate together with my kids. I left the house to visit my husband’s niece’s shop where I had to buy some toiletries, and some medications for headache. I had a discussion with her about the medications but she advices me to get proper rest. I bought the toiletries and returned home.

It was already evening hour and I had plans to pay a visit to one of our family friends who was sick. It’s been 7 days now with rains day and night and my kids have been indoors, I had to take them along at least let them experience the fresh cold outdoors.

Unfortunately, along the way, we receive a call from the friend that she has traveled to the village to get traditional medicine. She was suffering from typhoid and had tried several medications from different hospitals but it was not responding to treatment. We stopped the car and move around enjoying the fresh cold.

Walking around, you could be easily deceived that temperatures in this city is friendly and cold. In the dry season, it is a different ball game. Temperatures during the dry season are extremely hot. Presently, some neighborhoods are suffering from flood. While at home, I felt like catching cold, I quickly boiled water, added some lemon and tea to keep my body warm.

Apparently, my evening hours are used for entertainment and this evening I had to follow the Women African Cup of Nations finals between Nigeria and Morocco. I usually do not support any team but support any team playing entertaining football. It was a glorified win for the Nigerian team after the 90 minute drama. They added another trophy making it their 10th times of being the winners of WAFCON.

I crowned the day by following the nominations of the big brother Naija season 10/10. It’s just been the second day in the house and some of the housemates are up for possible eviction on Sunday. I decided to cut the program and went to bed to get proper rest. Until my next diary, it is good night at my end.
