The Diary Game [20/07/2025] // Sunday Vibes

in Steem Cameroon2 days ago

Steem greetings guys from the motherland-Cameroon and welcome to my blog for another day of my lifestyle. Sundays are usually a day for us Christian’s to worship our creator (God) and also a resting day. The rainy season is at its worst with rains day and night, making movement difficult especially if you gonna use public transportation.

My husband is not around and I’m yet to learn driving. I face challenges moving with the kids using public transportation and coupled with the rains, it is more frustrating. For this reason, I decided to stay back at home to fellowship online. This was not helpful because the kids could not catchup with their Sunday school lessons.

It rain throughout the night and the day started with rain drizzling and the weather was extremely cold. It was a good weather to eat something hot for breakfast and I had to do my “puff puff” mixture, the best my kids love so much. In this mixture I use different ingredients which makes my puff puff different from the regular ones sold on the street.

This mixture is divine and mouth watering because I added lots of milk, eggs and favour into the puff puff mixture. Then I prepared some hot pap which is made of corn and I added some milk and soya beans powered milk into the pap and it was a delicious breakfast and the kids love it so much.

After eating and ensured the kids were done eating as well, I took a warm bath and switched on to the church program. It was already almost midday and the 3rd service for the day was ongoing. I followed the preaching and alter call programs and it was an impactful Sunday listening to Pastor David Oyedepo Jr.

When the sermon was over, I went outdoor to harvest some guavas. While outside I noticed much guavas on the ground getting rotten, the kids have stopped going outdoor for days now because of the weather. I had to harvest some of the guavas to take to them indoor to eat. I avoid them going out now because with the cold weather, there are mosquitoes outdoor and to be on a safe side, I decided to keep them indoor. No way for them to use the swing and the trampoline because of rain all day.

Guavas I harvested.

It was difficult for me harvesting the guavas as the tree was tall and I had to use a tall stick to hit the guavas. Some of the guavas were damaged as I hit hard for them to fall down hehehe. I harvested a good quantity for us to eat. One thing I do not like rainy season guavas because they are not sweet enough like guavas harvest during the dry season.

Cooking food was not a challenge because I already had some soups in the refrigerator and I removed early in the morning and allow it to defrost. I heated the soup and prepare some cassava flour to eat with the ogbono soup.

I had a family meeting at about 4:00 PM as we planned the funeral of my sister’s mother-in-law. We made all arrangements and also made financial contributions to support her for the funeral program. The meeting ended well and I had to prepare some reports before calling it a day. Guys, it was a successful Sunday though with rain throughout the day that made it impossible for outdoor activities. Until my next diary, I wish us all a wonderful work week ahead.

Your Sunday activities were so amazing , starting from how you prepare the breakfast, not waiting for shops to open, you prepare your puff puff for the kids as breakfast, harvesting guavas , hope that was from your garden,it is good to have this fruit in our compound, not every time we should be buying it.
The important thing here is that, you was attended the 3rd service, not even minding the weather,, once a Christian,is a Christian,i really enjoyed your diary game,it is not easy for us mothers.
