The Diary Game [20/05/2025] // Reunification Day and Final Day of Lockdown.
Steem greetings guys from the motherland-Cameroon and welcome for another day with me to share my lifestyle content. Guys, it has been 4 days staying at home due to the lockdown imposed on the population of the North West and South West regions of Cameroon known as the English-speaking regions of the country.
This day is the main reason behind the four-day lockdown, which is a form of civil disobedience to the reunification day celebrations on the 20th of May each year. It is on this day that separatists believe that our forefathers who championed the reunification with French Cameroon were deceived into signing the reunification. According to some of the English speaking activists, the terms of the reunification needed to be revisited.
But it got what it is, politicians who are benefiting from the system are not willing to let things sleep off their hands. Everyone has his or her own selfish interests to Protect and in all the fighting, the common man suffers. Yes we had to stay at home for four days though I was happy because it has actually benefited me as I got enough need rest covered.

I had got a good night's sleep and woke up to face the challenges of the day. I had to search for what to take for breakfast and I went to a local bakery in my neighbourhood to buy bread. The owner of this local bakery is my neighbour and he assured me there was bread though not freshly baked because they had to hide overnight to bake it. I returned home and prepared tea for my kids but I decided to eat the bread with avocado.

After refilling my energy, I had to follow the match pass-on the national television channel as they were the only TV authorised to give a live view of the event. To me, it is more of a day for military patrols and schools with political parties each showing off to the public their new fabrics or clothes. One good thing about the event is that it was entertaining with different school majorettes each displaying a choreography.
I later engaged in washing dirty clothes since the lockdown was go ok ng to be over the next day and we resumed with our daily activities. It did not take me long to wash the dresses because they were not much but I got to prepare for the days ahead.
Then came the soccer evening as we watched the entertaining game between Manchester City versus Bournemouth. This was City’s 37th day of play in the English Premier League and race of fighting to secure a place in the Champions League next season.

Though Manchester city won the game, their position for the Champions League next season is still not yet guaranteed. But it was a moment of joy for Kevin De Bruyne as he beat farewell to Manchester City.

When the game was over, I had to go to bed early to wake up early to face my alma mater. Guys, it was a difficult 4 days of lockdown at home unprepared but I'm glad I took the opportunity to get enough rest for myself. Until my next diary, enjoy the rest of the week with love and tolerance✌️✌️chao Chao.
