The Diary Game [18/05/2025] // Day 02 of 4 Days Lockdown Imposed By Separatist Fighters.
Steem greetings @everyone from the motherland-Cameroon and welcome to my blog for another day with my lifestyle content. Guys, it has not been easy staying at home for these past two days and counting. Because we are at home throughout the day, it makes us go to bed very late and also wake up late.
I said in my previous day 1 lockdown diary that it came to me as a surprise and I did not prepare to buy food items. My kids requested I prepare them an omelette with bread to drink tea for breakfast. Then I realised my eggs were finished. While I was trying to explain to them that we do not have eggs at home, one of my neighbours overheard and directed me to one lady within our neighbourhood who sells provisions at her house during lockdown. I immediately rushed there and was lucky to get the tray of eggs though very expensive. On days as such some vendors take advantage and sell at exorbitant prices.

After eating, we engaged in cleaning and playing with the kids for a while. It was soccer Sunday with lots of matches to watch. It was a day some teams in the English Premier League were rounding off for the season. We started watching the game between Everton versus Southampton and it was a victorious day for Everton fans as they crowned the day with a 2:0 defeat.
Then we proceeded to watch the second game between Nottingham Forest versus Westham. West Ham started the game in high gear and showed they were determined to win the game. After a few minutes of play, West Ham's goalkeeper made a wrong pass influenced by one of his players which caused him to concede a goal. Nottingham Forest demonstrated resilience and determination to win the game after the humiliation the coach faced from the club owner's last match. They played so well that they conquered at the end of the day with a 2:1 defeat.

Then followed the Arsenal versus Newcastle game. This season, Arsenal has suffered several defeats from Newcastle and this game was also a crucial match to determine if Arsenal could hold to the 2nd position of the premier league. The first 45 minutes of the game was challenging but thanks to the opening goal by Declan Rice that puts Arsenal to stay at the second position in the table.

After watching all these matches, it was time for me to prepare something for dinner. I had to prepare beef stew with rice for the family. As for me, I'm not a fan of rice and most often I prepare something else for myself. I had boiled some potatoes in the rice to be eaten with the beef stew.

I continued with the Laliga games after refilling my energy from the food I ate. I prefer to watch the Barcelona game because they play entertaining football. Though, they lost the game they were crowned the winners of the league this season.

After following all the matches for the day, it was time to call it a day as we went to bed. Guys, though we were on lockdown but it was indeed an entertaining day and I enjoyed every bit of it. Until my next diary session, I wish you all a joyful week ahead.
