The Diary Game [13/05/2025] // Vaccine Routine with my toddler son.
Steem greetings @everyone from the motherland-Cameroon and welcome to my blog as I share my daily lifestyle content with you all. It has been a routine for us to vaccinate our kids from 0 to 5 years against some illnesses provided by the government for free.
My son had a rendezvous on the 11th of May 2025. Unfortunately, it was a non-work day. I had to postpone until the 13th which is a work day. Waking up from bed that day was a hard pill for me to swallow because of the movements I made recently. My body is still not yet stable and I feel pain and need enough rest.
As an African woman, we keep fighting till our last breath to see that everything in the family is moving forward and not backward. I had to prepare my son and myself so we could go for the vaccine routine. My husband assisted in dropping his vaccine card at the district hospital to secure a better position in the queue which will help me to take the vaccine on time and return home.

We had to take a bike to go faster because I was impatient to take a cab and caught up in traffic. We arrived on time when the nurses in charge had passed on with lectures and proceeded to calling the names of children for parents to start bringing them up to take their weight.
My son was tge 5 child in the queue to be called up and it was not an easy task as he activated his naughty mode. It was a battle for the nurses and I to put him on the scale to take his weight. He cried continuously for several minutes and one of the administrators came in to help take his weight.
After taking his weight, I took him outdoors of the vaccination hall to cheer him up and stopped crying before they could administer vitamin A to him. After about 20 minutes outdoors, he was once again happy and I had to take him inside for the nurses to administer the vitamins.

The vitamin was administered to him and we were asked to pay money for mebendazole to deworm him. I paid for the drug and it was time to return back home. He was so excited to go back home and we walked to the gate to take a bike back home.

At home, I decided to prepare some muffin cakes for my kids snacks as they rounded off their exams. This is one of their favourites. I had everything at home to prepare the muffins with and in less than 2 hours I was done and saved them in a bowl. Immediately they returned home, the joy in their faces was uncontrollable. They took the bowl of muffins and almost finished it in a jiffy.

My body is still recovering after a week of stressful activity taking care of my sister-in-law at the hospital. I decided to take some days to rest but it's still not balanced. I napped for some hours and woke up to prepare dinner. I could not cook any fresh meal for the day as I had some leftover huckleberry. I boiled sweet potatoes and some fufu corn to be eaten with the huckleberry.
After dinner, I could not sit and enjoy a movie with my family. I started feeling stomach ache and I decided to call it a day and went to bed. Until my next diary guys, a splendid day to you all is my wish.
