The Diary Game [12/04/2025] // Nightmare
Steem greetings from the motherland-Cameroon to @everyone and welcome to my blog for another session with my daily lifestyle content. Guys, the insecurity of my neighbourhood is alarming and each day one goes to bed with doubts about whether you will end up seeing daylight the next day.
It has become a habit that each day we wake up with either loud sounds of explosives being detonated by the state military, or dead bodies on the streets. Before the conflict, it was not a common thing for one to see the coffin anyhow and also how the dead were honoured. Today, it does not mean anything anymore.

Today was one of those days I woke up praying to God to let His will be done in my land. The rate of killings, kidnappings, forced disappearances, etc is alarming in my community. Early in the morning, I decided to take a walk along the street to distract myself but rather encountered an unpleasant situation. Young guys lives were wasted and their corpses were exposed on the streets.
My mind was more troubled when I returned home. I went out to relax while walking but rather returned home feeling terrible. I could not imagine that someone's life could just be wasted with a bullet. Thoughts were full in my head and I started asking myself rhetorical questions.
It seems as if we are living in a different world where human lives do not matter. Our leaders have disappointed us and are more concerned with looting state funds for selfish interests.

What else could I have done apart from consuming some snacks for the day? Chewing this oat milk kind of helped me to distract myself more than the walk I took in the morning hours.
While chewing my snacks I decided to follow some movies on Netflix. While searching for a good movie to watch, I came across a South African series “Isono” which means “The Sin”. The series portrays a matriarch claiming to doing philanthropic work within the community under a sham organization.

Watching the movie on an empty stomach was not friendly at all. I had to pause and go into the kitchen to prepare a meal for the family. I needed to cook something that would not take much of my time to get ready.

I had everything prepared already in the fridge. I took them and cooked and in less than an hour, food was ready. My husband was back from work and I served food for us to eat together.

Then came the soccer evening as this is a normal weekend routine for us as a family to follow soccer games on weekends. Arsenal versus Brentford which ended in a 1:1 game.

I concluded my day with the Laliga game between Barcelona versus CD Legané. Despite all these activities to distract myself from the terrible images of dead bodies I earlier saw, I still could not comprehend them and I went to bed unpleasantly.
