The Diary Game [08/05/2025] Returning Home After 7 days in the Hospital

in Steem Cameroon9 days ago

Steem greetings @everyone from the motherland-Cameroon and welcome to my blog as I share my daily lifestyle content with you all. It is another privilege to share my hospital vlog as I decided to return home to meet my kids after spending a week out of my home town.

It was the last day for us in the hospital and we could not hold our peace for the doctor to pass around to examine and discharge us from the hospital. I woke up early to bathe the newborn and my toddler son. I also heated water for the mother to bathe. I had to pack up all our belongings while waiting for the driver to come pick us up from the hospital. The doctor came around 11:00 AM, examined her, and asked us to go home and return on Saturday for the second cleaning and dressing of the wound.

Returning home.

When the doctor left, I had to settle our remaining bills and collect the child’s birth card to deposit at the council for them to make the child's birth certificate. Luckily when we arrived at the council, we were quickly being attended to. I deposited the necessary documents and we were told that when the birth certificate is ready, they will call us to come and collect.

We left the council and on our way home, we decided to stop over and buy paw-paw and watermelon. I was so exhausted after unsleepless nights and restless days in the hospital trying to catch up with other commitments. When I arrived home, I took my toddler son to play in the trampoline and other children joined us to jump.

The excitement was just too much for my toddler son when we entered the trampoline. He could once enjoy the freedom to be at home rather than being confined in a single room in the hospital. I played with him for about an hour and took some fresh paw-paw. I did not have an appetite for cooked food. I thought taking the paw-paw would kind of boost my appetite.

After eating the paw-paw, I took a shower and napped for a while. It was evening hour and temperatures were very high and uncomfortable for me. Food was being served to everyone but I still did not have an appetite to eat. I took some watermelon to eat just maybe it could help to regain my appetite.

My day ended prematurely because I was so tired and needed enough rest. I went to bed in the early evening hours and until my next diary, it is good night from my end.
