The Diary Game [01/04/2025] // My Daily Reflection.
Steem greetings @everyone, it is another joyful day to reflect on my day. It has been a difficult start to the week for me as my husband is not around and I had to manage my workload and house chores alone. The worst of it is that my toddler son caught up cold and cough which gave me sleepless nights with a high body temperature.
My day started well though I was feeling exhausted already but got to show the strength of an African mother. I prepared breakfast for the kids and heated water to bathe the kids. The morning hours were somehow cold and I needed to keep them warm. I dressed them up and also fed them as usual.
I had to ensure by 7:00 AM I dropped them off at school and returned to the house to prepare some traditional herbs for my toddler son. While leaving the house, I got a call from my husband informing me to drop them off infront of our gate as he had sent someone to pick them up to school. I was so happy and I stood with them infront of the gate and the person showed up in less than no time.
I returned home and started preparing the herbal medicine for flu and cough. Though I was still observing him to see if any further complications, I would visit the paediatrician. I administered the herbal medicine to him and it somehow helped him to get a proper sleep.
While he was sleeping, I had to finalize my monthly work report and submitted to my boss. Before I knew it, I received a message from my kid's school requesting parents to pick up their kids by 1:00 PM due to a staff meeting to end the term. I immediately shut down my laptop and took a bike to my kids’ school.

I had to first pick up my daughter before returning to pick up my son as their classroom blocks are on different campuses. Looking at the school, it seems there was renovating. I walked to my daughter's class and carried her bag. Guys, the weight of her backpack was too much for a child to carry.

After taking my daughter from her class, we moved to my son’s class and we picked him up and I had to book another cab to drop us home.

While at home, I got another call from my cousin from South Africa informing me of a parcel to collect for my mother. I had to feed the kids and take a bike to her residence. She already removed the package and kept it with their househelp to hand it over to me. I picked up the parcel and took a cab home. It was rush hour already and I stood at the roadside for almost an hour waiting for a taxi.

While in the taxi, I spotted a roadside vendor selling boiled corn. No way I could just pass without stopping over to buy some. I bought some of the boiled corn and came back with it at home. My kids so much love it and I also like eating it.

The evening hours were calm and cold while watching the Arsenal versus Fulham game. Then I administered the herbal medication to the kids while I called it a day. Until my next diary, it is goodnight from my end.
