ACT OF KINDNESS CONTEST @bossj23 [21-5-25]
I love you
May God bless you and your family
I can't express how happy I am to witness this in my school
Just take this as a token from me
All these are sayings from people who are shown kindness. I personally experienced this when I went with my team to put a smile on the faces of school children. It's actually a charity program which I'm a big part of and is sponsored by @worldsmile. For months now, we've been visiting local schools where children leave their homes without eating breakfast to make them smile. Most of these children are used to that life as their parents can only afford to feed them once a day. Some may actually have their breakfast but has no hope of eating lunch i.e, meal when they are back from school.
So I visited Virgin Born school to share an uncooked food since we're not directly an organisation that's certified to share cooked food in case anything happens to the child, they'll know who and where to reference. That's how we think most times especially in an establishment like that. So going with uncooked food was preferred so they can show their parents at home.

I paid my way down with @whitie and @nsijoro all the way from school to this school to make them smile. This is what love can do. Love can travel far miles to show kindness. When we got to the school, the children were all lined up by @ngoenyi, @kidi40 and @whizzbro4eva. Out of all the schools we've visited, the smiles shown by the children were much broader. Before sharing the noodles we brought, we thought of entertaining them with songs and dances.
I led the dance because I love making children feel at home, comfortable and happy. I told them to be free and that they aren't in a prison yard where they'll have to live and die with rigid principles. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy. You need to see how these children danced to show how happy they were. A teacher whispered to me saying that he has never seen them this happy before.
This school is a newly built school and carrying out this act of kindness was a way of promoting the school. Villagers came out of their homes to see what was going on in the school. The school owner felt loved and honoured. She felt we just exposed her school for expansion overtime. After the dance which the school owner was a big part of, we shared the indomie. There's this quote I always use to hold myself. "A little act of kindness can go a long way to saving one's life".
We shared just 2 Noodles each to 80 children in the school. This was the second batch of pupils we came to put a smile on their faces. These two noodles cost 500 naira in my country. Imagine someone giving you 500 naira to eat lunch. You'd be super grateful because of how the economy is. At least, these children were happy because of what we did. They smiled and expressed gratitude as never before.
They'll go home with the heart of thanks that we did something extraordinary in their school, though little. The video below shows how they expressed their gratitude in words. Their voices could reach the heavens. I've never seen a set of children like this. This shows there are many out there that are in need. Just a cup of rice can make them bow to you. The owner of the school gave her gratitude speech which was covered on camera.
We took pictures with the teachers and bid them our goodbyes. But wait!.....they stopped us. Why? They had something for us as well. They gifted us toiletries in appreciation for what we did. When we refused, they insisted that they wouldn't stop until we got their token of appreciation from them. We collected with joy and thanked them for this appreciative spirit and hospitality.
