The Diary Game: A Big Harvest Day In My Farm 28.05.2025
Hello everyone, humble salutations to every member of this family. I am so happy that at last I am able to do this after a long period of time and please forgive me if I won't be able to put words like a pro just as I have read many people write, I am still learning.
Wednesday started with me going to the farm very early in the morning, I was already in the farm by 5am because I wanted to go early and avoid the day's sun. I can't work while the sun is high that I'd why I went very early with my little friend Munachi to harvest cassava so that I can process and make garri and fufu.

The harvest was plentiful, it was more than I ever could think of, some farmers that came by in the farm told me that they wished they were the ones with so much harvest, I was grateful to God because in my years of doing peasant farming I have not had such a big harvest before and finally my last year's toil paid off. Some of the cassava were decaying and while I was thinking I was going to harvest half of the plantation, I ended up harvesting everything and still had so many and big cassava to take back home.

The sun had reached us because we wanted to harvest everything and my friend removed his clothes, I was laughing at him the way he was struggling to pull cassava out of the ground. The harvest took us so much time but we finished by 11am and we packed them in a wheelbarrow and ready to go back home.

Since the house is not far from the farm, we walked slowly and because we were tired we did not stress much. When we went back home, I gave my friend a little money to buy detergent to wash his clothes, it was not a payment but just to appreciate his efforts leaving his work to come and help me out in the farm. He didn't go till we peeled the cassava and took it to the processing mill and soaked some to ferment for fufu.
My friend took some with him to his house to make cassava flakes from it and I also did some flakes from it. After that we finished he went back to his house and I went to fetch water to bath, our landlord has refused to pump water these days and we are yet to know his reasons, I know of a certain that he pump is not the fault neither is the generator.

When I finished everything, I ate the cassava flakes with beans and slept in the afternoon because my body was weak. When I woke up, I was very much strong now so I took some time to pray before I went outside again.
I took my cylinder to the nearby gas retail shop to refill it because I did not have gas to cook anything and I was becoming hungry, the night was approaching also. I went there and filled up the cylinder, it will take me months before it finishes and I will save money by doing so.

When I came back from refilling the gas, I amend some of my clothes that had issues because I have not been chanced to do anything because of work and I was trying to fill some loop reason being that I will be working throughout the weekend.
Finishing with that, I went to the small market and bought rice and fish with small ingredients to prepare rice. I ddnt just prepare yet, I waited for nightfall before I could prepare it so that I will just eat and sleep.

When it was 9pm, I started cooking and before 10pm I was done and I ate my dinner at last. It was a hectic day. But the harvest I made in the morning was what consoled me.

A customer came to the house for me to make her toe nails because she will be travelling very early, so I did it for her and when she left, I went to my bed and sleep, God so did it that there was light and my AC was turned on that was why I was able to sleep immediately I got to bed.
