Assalamu Alaikum friends,
Today is the first day of our Bengali New Year. When I was young, I was very excited for this day. Now this excitement does not work anymore. Today is Pahela Baishakh 1432 Bangabd. I am sleeping until noon. Although I had planned to go to Dinajpur Government College in the morning, I did not go because of sleep. Because as I said, my childhood excitement no longer works for me, that is why I am spending it sleeping. Today is supposed to be celebrated according to tradition. Today's food has a history of eating Panta Bhat with various fillings.

Lunch

I got up from bed in the afternoon and brushed my teeth and took a bath. I went to the dining room and saw today's meal as boiled eggs with potato dal and two pieces of fried plantain. I took rice with curry and cholaboot for breakfast. I started the new year with this meal today on the first day of Baishakh.

I'm pretty bored in my room all day, scrolling through Facebook's newsfeed for a while. Today, the newsfeed is filled with pictures of people wearing sarees and Punjabis. I went up to the roof in the afternoon and watered the plants on our roof and stayed on the roof for a while.

I have to go out in the evening. Some of my friends and elder brother are waiting for me in the field. I left the house. There are a lot of traffic jams on the road today. I am going to the field through the city, pushing the traffic jams of two intersections. When I reached the field, I chatted with my friends for a long time. After the chat, we had tea at the tea shop and said goodbye to everyone.

Today, the Dinajpur Trade Fair grounds are so crowded that there is no way to push through. I did not go there. I see from the grounds that only dust is flying, but the joy of the people is endless. I took the picture from the top of the Eidgah Minar. Many lights are shining in the fair grounds.

My friend and I walked towards the city. We walked to Paharpur Road. I wanted to eat Halim from my friend. My friend will treat me today. We stopped at the Halim shop on the side of the road and bought two bowls of Halim. After eating, we said goodbye to our friend and returned home. This is how I spent my first day of Baishakh.
