Hello friends, today I wake up with the news that localbitcoins closes its doors after 10 years of service, it is something that was not expected, much less from a company that in his opinion was one of the most stable in the world and was one of the pioneers. in the sale of bitcoin, but today he unfortunately announces that the so-called crypto winter is taking its toll and it is becoming unsustainable to maintain the company.

Localbitcoins is giving 12 months to all its users to withdraw their bitcoin as announced in this statement LocalBitcoins will discontinue its service. In the statement there is a schedule which announces that as of today, February 9, new registrations to the platform are disabled.

If they are giving all users 12 months to withdraw their bitcoin, it seems to me that they should operate naturally for 6 months and give the others the opportunity to withdraw their bitcoin. Because looking at the schedule on the 16th all kinds of transactions within the platform will be closed and on the 17th of this same month only users will be able to connect to withdraw their funds.

In this way localbitcoins joins another company that closes its doors due to the fall of bitcoin as Aitm and LocalCryptos did, among others that will soon join the list, it is unfortunate news and in my opinion it is a hard blow for bitcoin, let's hope that the news does not affect the global market.
