Song Challenge Day 33 - A Song That Reminds You of Someone You Never Want to Forget
My granddad was born and raised on a farm in rural in Tennessee, before moving his young family to Detroit to find work. But he never lost his connection to the South. He always had a supply of sorgham, pork brains, and Williams sausage (produced in Tennessee; the only brand worth eating according to him), which he brought back from trips to his home state.
When he had saved up enough money, he bought 2 plots of land. One for his house, one for his garden. It was pretty unusual to have a garden that large in the city, but deep down he was a farmer. He never forgot his connection to the land.
He also loved bluegrass music, and this was one of his favorites.
