Eternal Hope
🤍 What does the word hope mean to you? |
---|
Hope is certainly a great word; it could relieve someone from pain and difficult situations.
In other words, I will say hope is the belief that better things await us, even when the present seems so difficult.
Hope may not save the situation, but it's capable of holding things in place till we get there.
Hope is like a voice that resounds in our hearts, telling us not to give up, but we should keep moving.
🤍 Mention a difficult situation in which hope helped you overcome. |

There was a situation I found myself in. On this very day, I woke and prepared for school. I had exams that day at 8 am. My distance to school is almost an hour's journey. I was supposed to move early, but I couldn't because I had no transport fare.
I had told my parents about this the previous day, so I had to call them again and remind them, although they couldn't send the money as quickly as possible. When I arrived at the school, the exams were almost over, and I wasn't allowed inside.
So I missed the exams that day, I wasn't happy at all, I felt like I had missed everything in life, but I couldn't help myself.
I had to see the Head of Department (HOD) to tell him the issue, but fortunately, I couldn't see him, so I spoke to his receptionist instead.
She gave me some advice on how to get over it and not to try doing anything foolish; her advice was a relief.
The hope she gave me helped me regain myself and look over the situation, having in mind that everything happens for a reason, which may even bring forth great things.
It was one of the greatest events in my life that I experienced HOPE.
🤍 How do you think you can give hope to others? |
---|
Most people out there have gotten themselves into an even greater situation because they lack the knowledge about hope.
Hope may not be the solution to our problems, but it will act like the little water that can quench our thirst.
The best way I think I could give hope to others is by standing by their side, no matter the situation, telling them they are not alone.
If I were to give people hope, I would tell them stories of great people who had fallen but rose again because of the hope they had in themselves.
I will help them remember who they were and tell them that they are strong enough to overcome the situation. And let them know that I believe in them.
Putting these words of hope into their rightful use with people around you brings relief and strength to that person.
🤍 What recent news has given you hope? |
---|
As we all know, the cost of living is so high that even schooling is beginning to be seen as a privilege for the rich.
For some semesters now, I have been finding it so difficult to pay my school fees; most times, I made the payment even after the deadline.
It's as if the government is not aware of any of this. I noticed recently that so many people have suspended their degree studies already.
The News that brought me Hope was, I heard that the government as established an organization (NELFUND) to disburse loans to students, they will pay students' school fees and also provide an upkeep allowance for every applicant.
This was a relief when I got the news. I believed I wasn't the only one who was given hope, but other students like me were, too.
I came to realize that the government may be slow to react, but they also understand how we feel and what they must do to help us, so we should have hope for a better country.

Life may seem unlucky, unbearable and painful, but hope is not lost; always have that in mind.
If you are fortunate enough to give hope to others, do it with a clear conscience, because trust is what strengthens hope.
I will be inviting @imohmitch, @mr-peng and @etoro to share their experiences about HOPE...
