SLC S23W6/ Puppet Play

The puppets have a positive attitude, as their characters showed the friendliness and happy mood of a Rabbit and a Cat who looked out for each other.

The kids were happy their performance would be watched by other kids, so before the show began, they were happy in anticipation of their friends coming over to watch their performance, and also see the puppets and puppet theatre we created. They were so proud of their work. It was fun for them, and it made them happy.

They were not nervous because the kids who came to watch their performance were their friends, so they were comfortable performing in their presence, and I am sure with their excitement, they wanted their friends to see their creativity skills. They told me not to disclose the performance to the spectators, that I should just invite them for a puppet show to give them a surprise with their performance. So they had rehearsal that made them perfect their performance, and there were no mistakes or nervousness.

It was just a line the younger kid forgot, but, the bigger kid reminded him, and he quickly picked up. After that, they did not go off-script because the script was written with their own words and performance. I d'nt want to give them words to cram with my own script so that they wouldn't make mistakes with my cram script. I just told them what we would be performing and asked them to come up with their own words. So we rehearse with that. It was a smooth performance.

Yes, they did enjoy the puppet show. When the invited kids arrived, there was curiosity on their faces to see what the puppets show characters and storyline would be. When the show started, they were calm and watched. But when the show was done, they discussed their favourite parts and how they enjoyed the performance and were excited. They had fun, as you can see on their faces after the show.

The message left by the puppet show was calling on your friends to merry with you on your happy moments, just like the rabbit invited his friend to a party in his house to have fun with him. Another message left was to be there for your friends in their time of need, just like the Cat helped with a Candy when the Rabbit was hungry, and the last message was about keeping your environment clean, just like the Rabbit trashed the Candy wrap into the trashcan after eating the Candy his friend the Cat gave to him when he was hungry and the Cat commended him for not littering the floor because keeping our environment clean is a duty of every one of us.
