Delicious Kakanin from te Scrap Buyers
Hello everyone!
Let me share with you these sweet treats that we received yesterday. This is from a scrap sacks buyer of the company where I work. It is not the first time that this was given to us. There was a time when a colleague of mine called the customer asking where he could get a box of sweet treats, they never said the details, he sent us 2 boxes instead.
In Philippines these were called "kakanin". The box has 6 colorful delicious bite sized treats.
This is my colleague with the box of the delicious treats. He was the one who asked my other colleague where to buy them
What the box of kakanin consists
A ground boiled cassava mixed with milk and sugar topped with creamy grated cheese
Palitaw, a treat made by kneading and steaming glutinous rice, stuffed with a mix of peanut and sugar, coated with flour and sugar so that t hey will not mix
Buko-pandan sweets is made of glutinous flour, kneaded and teamed and stuffed with sweetened young coconut meat.
Puto maya is a glutinous rices cooked in a sweetened coconut milk stuffed with bukayo, (made with caramelized grated coconut meat)
Biko cheese is made with steamed glutinous rice, and polished with caramelized coconut milk topped with cheese.
This one is also made with glutinous rice with ube flavor. Everything in t eh box is flavorful in every bite.
This one is what I chose because I like hoe creamy the mixture was. I enjoyed every bit of it and I wish I would know how to make it.
We still don't know where to buy this box of happiness or how much does a box costs. All we know is that what's inside the box looks delicious and tastes delicious.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope to hear on what you think about the food.
