What's inside a 3dollar battery powerbank?

Hello dear friends, how are you all? I hope you are all in the pink of health and happiness.

Out of curiosity

Are you familiar with power banks? Well I guess you are even though you are not owning one. I was 20 years old when I first saw one and was curious and I'm itching to know how it works. It became famous when smartphones became famous too.

Smartphones five years ago has only about 2000mAh battery capacity that when used to connect a data connection, won't last 5 hours in some phones. Gadget obsessed people spent another of their money to have browsing experience longer.

The power bank I saw was not mine five years ago, shhhhh I secretly wished that it would be broken so I will have the chance of looking what is inside. But then it didn't happen and I only got the chance today.

Yesterday, my co worker showed me his Php150 peso power bank which Joseph, our another co worker requested him to order online. Buying only one item would make it more expensive due to the shipping fee so he bought 5pcs. This way, the shipping fee will be divided into the number of items ordered. I am located in Mindanao and is very far from Manila where most of the items were shipped from. The lowest shipping fee that I observed is 114pesos. That's over two dollars.

I had my chance of trying it yesterday in Joseph's behalf and it worked fine. I told my husband about it but he was not interested. Maybe he thinks it would only be another expenses.

Today I have decided to have one but the item I got wont charge up after an hour being plugged in so I told sit thommy about the problem. He then opened it, I got excited that my wish is now coming true so I literally ran to get my phone to take a picture. Of course he knows that I do blogging and he allowed me to. (I invited him here but he said he was way too busy for many things, not just him but many of my colleagues too).

This is what the inside of a 3dollar power bank looks like. Series of batteries were lined up(arranged) to make 20,000mAh possible and a charging board where plugging in to and out of the power
bank is made possible.

It has metal plating to connect the batteries. We observed that the upper part, the two batteries above has no plating that made it impossible to use.

Three USB outlets were on the charging board inside but the plastic that contained it has only two holes. Too bad the third can't be utilized.

Looking up close to the front cover, I noticed that the indicator were lit by the LED from the charging board where the on/off button is also located.

Please don't open your electronic devices at home. My co worker is an experienced technician that's why he is confident in doing so.

Thank you for passing by and I hope you learned from thus post.
