My Sexy Burgundy Crochet Tops, Made with much Love and Hardwork

Hello everyone. I hope we are all in a good condition and in good health. So much has happened around the world and I hope that soon, peace will reign and that kindness will lead every heart. Today was a boring day for me, but I like it. Most of my colleagues were out from work and I am alone in the office now, which I like very much because it is peaceful and I am free to do anything.

Anyway, let me share with you this top that I made last year. My child's teacher in kinder saw a post of my work and inquired about it. I had many yarns at that time because I was able to buy 5 kilos of indophil yarns when I received my 13th month's pay last year. Thanks to my husband who supports all my crafts and even gives me a free time to make my projects.

Schools has adopted the technology and since almost everyone has a phone, they require the parents to submit a social media account for the group chat so we could easily communicate with her regarding our inquiries, classes and all. To my surprise, one day, my child's teacher asked me if I could make her some of my crafts, she wants something sexy but something than can cover her belly as well. I showed her my finished projects and she and after some conversations, she agreed with a design and my pricing, I started making the tops that she wanted. I used a 3mm generic crochet hook, that's what I only have that time. the material I used is 4ply soft indophil yarn in burgundy.

I'm so excited in making the top, well, as a crocheter, who would not? A made-to-order is my happiness. I love it so much when somebody notices and appreciates my work.

The Making

I started with 20 chains and made 16 double crochet stitches across the chain, 3 double crochet stitches on the last stitch. then I continued making double crochet stitches on the other side. The three stitches that I made in the peak part are where my increase would be. I stitched back and forth until got my desired size of the bra cup. Then I attached both of the cups and continued n the upper part of the top, the mesh part. I crochet fast here, and it was like a miracle to me. Perhaps I was very excited and inspired of my new project.

I had a hard time incorporating the fringes, it was my first time adding fringe on a project so I never had learned the fast well, the right technique yet. Mine was so messy and it even got tangled because the wind blew these yarns that were piled in the armrest of our bamboo sofa.

I had overcome the most complicated part of the project and proceeded in adding the bra cup foam. I bought these pairs of bra cups on an online selling platform for 47pesos per pair. I stitched it temporarily in the top using a bright-colored thread so it would be easy to pull out later when the attachment is done.

Too bad I forgot taking pictures during the attachment but I remembered I used an extra-large needle enough to insert the 4ly indophil yarn and stitched the bra cup in the project.

'm too excited to try it on the mannequin and see how it's going. I'm amazed by how beautiful my work turned out. I did cut the fringes straight after I took a photo of my project.

I made another top in the same pattern in purple and black edges too. I only did this to be a trial before the burgundy but my coworker liked it so I finished it for her. I saw her kids wearing this top when we had been once swimming in the pool with our colleagues. Seeing her wear it made me "kilig",and made my smile reach my ears.
