Areyah's Birthday and 5 steem Power Up

Hello friends! I hope you are well and your family. As for me, I am doing well and my family also. School has resumed and I had to wake up early again to tend to my children's needs.

But today's blog is about a very special event that I was able to attend to and I was honored to be one of their guest. It was my colleague's daughter's birthday and Areyah is their only child, she was well-loved and her parents just can't help themselves in making her birthday very special. They lived beside where we work and so their house is just walking distance, which made it no excuse for us not to go so we had to.

At lunch break, I and my several colleague started to go to her house, it was very hot but some rain clouds were starting to form in the distance, and I am glad I always bring my cap and shades with me for protection.

Me and some of my colleagues who went out at 11 am to help Jenny prepare the food. They had to go back to the workplace for the biometrics.

When we arrived at their house, the salo-salo has not started yet so we took our chance to take pictures of the backdrop but as soon as I clicked my phone camera, Paula positioned to take a picture also.

Soon we sang the happy birthday song to her child and she looks very happy with what her parents had done for her, but her mother, Jenny was the happiest as she sees her child grow well and healthy.

Everyone lined up for the food, and I was looking at the dishes that I wanted to have which looks very good and it did not disappoint.

Areyah's birthday celebration is also eh blessing ceremony of Jenny's house, they finally had their own house and even if it was not finished yet, they are already making use of the space and it was a huge milestone that the couple had achieved.

After I had my meal, I was waiting for my colleagues to finish theirs and noticed the craft I made in Jenny's television. A few weeks back then, Jenny asked me to make her a TV cover and so I did, It was just made of flowers made into granny squares and I added elastic on each edge to fit into the TV and jenny liked it.

Also, I was amazed on Jenny's husband's pet fish; they look very admirable especially the gold fish he was having in his yard.

He also had Pacu fish which are carnivores, so he put them in a separate tank.

Filled and happy, I and my colleagues bid goodbye to our friend and her daughter to get back to work. We were honored to have shared the celebration of her daughter and her generosity.

It was so amazing seeing a child surrounded with love and affection form her parents and family.

Before I end this blog, I wanted to share with you the powerUp I did today, it was just as small amount but I am glad to have done it s it is a part of my growth in Steem.

Before the power up, I had 1,168.223 steem power

I powered up the liquid steem in my wallet amounting 5.976 steem,

and ended up with 1,274.20 steem power. This is just a small amount to power up but to me, this is a huge step to take, as I dwell on the plan of building myself a better future with Steem.
