Contest: Am I Superstitious?

Since I was a child I loved everything that was difficult to explain, that is strange and sometimes looks like a magic or like mystical. That time I love to hear the stories about different ghosts and strange mystic creatures. I knew that they do not exist, but still from all the stories I could imagine that those creatures are exist maybe in other reality or parallel reality. Maybe because of that one day when we, myself and sister were 5 and 6 years, she told that one day when she was sleeping and woke up in the night she noticed that there was a shadow on the edge her bed and she thought that a shadow has a figure of a devil with red eyes and horns. She was scared, closed eyes and next time when she opened eyes the shadow is gone. When I heard that my imagination created a picture of real devil and I was very scared, I wished that I never see such creature, even though I did not really believe in such creatures I did not want to see it.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I am superstitious at the score 6, not too much but also not so little.
I do not think that I can control a destiny, I think there is a superpower that is over us and that if we do something bad then it will return to us. I still think that everything we do it might leave impact on our live. I still believe in good and think that if we do good things that will return as good for us. I often pray to God or the superpower that is I believe exists and observe us, if we pray very much often our wishes come true and that is that I often do and see how it happening.
No I did not hear such statement and can not tell anything about that.
No, for me it is not really much trouble, I do not take it seriously. It is just clothes and sometimes it is even good if groom could see the dress of bride. I believe that this everything is just in order to impress groom on the day of wedding with the beauty of bride and the beauty of such snowwhite dress.
My grandmother told me not to cut my nails when it is evening or night but also on Wednesday, since then I stopped doing that, even though I do not have any explanation and time to time I forget about that. Also my mother always told when putting on shoes start with right food otherwise the day will be spoiled. Since then I always wear my shoes with right.

It was my pleasure too to take part in the writing for this topic. I believe there are similar things that we were told from our grandparents and they from their grandparent. It is strange that sometimes we do not really believe but still have this feeling that we should obey htem :)

Yes, I completely agree with you. My grandma was not really religious that is why it is more like mystery and unexplained events.
