The diary game, A day spent in peeling and processing cassava (3/6/2025)
Hi dear friends in the community. I am delighted to write in words and in pictures how I spent my day peeling and processing cassava.
In the morning I of 4th June which was on a Tuesday, I made potato fries and egg for my family as breakfast.
I woke my children up and brushed their teeth get them ready for school. I fed them with bread and tea while giving them fried potatoes and egg along with fruit juice and snacks to take to school.
They were set to leave for school and hubby dropped them as I had a lot to do at home so I didn't join them.
I bathed and get ready to start peeling the cassava as it was much.
I started peeling the cassava and it took me almost the whole day.
As I was peeling the cassava, I started feeling hungry and boom 💥 I checked the time and noticed that it was already 1pm.
I paused for a while, brought out soup from the freezer, warm it and eat for lunch.
This is my lunch, it was fisherman's soup and swallow.
After eating I took 15 minutes rest and while resting I asked my husband to help me take some photographs of me peeling the cassava.
I took some funny pictures as well like the one below.
I resumed peeling the cassava till it was 3:30pm and I realised that the kids will return from school and the school bus will drop them off at the shop and since I didn't open the shop for that day, I went over to the shop and waited for them and when they arrived, I took them back to the house.
Feed them, and make them go to bed before doing their homework.
By 5pm, I finish peeling the cassava, I washed it and take it to the mill for grinding.
The cassava was ground and take to the area where the water will be pressed out making it easier for frying.
After grinding the cassava, I came back home feeling exhausted.
I ate and served my family dinner and we all went to bed.
That is how I spent my day.
