Father's Day celebration is an interesting twist, it is not as pronounced as Mother's Day or Children's Day, but yes, I do celebrate Father's Day on the 15th of June, which happens to be a Sunday.

✓ - From 1 to 10 What is the level of importance you give to the celebration of Father's Day?

Father's Day may be highly celebrated in other lands, but locally, that day is not very significant. It will not attract a public holiday. I have always been hoping that on Father's Day, I will be given a special treat. If it should happen, I will be the organiser, just like Mother's Day and Children's Day, which I also organise.

On a scale of 1 to 10, Father's day is at number 3 and this is how it sounds: "Daddy, today is Father's Day, won't you take us out".

I take us out on Mother's Day, the same with Children's Day and even on Father's Day. Thumbs up to all the fathers.

✓ - If you had the opportunity to make a hypothetical celebration plan with your father or emotional father figure: What would it be like? (Example: go fishing together, watch a football game, have a barbecue, go to the movies, go to a bar....)

I will love to be surprised too. A small wrapped pack, the content is not important, someone remembered and wanted to make me special, that's all.
If I should call friends who are fathers, saying, "come, let us celebrate Father's Day with a bottle of beer for each one of us, reminding ourselves of the duties and sacrifices that make us fathers".
It would be a surprise, but a good one.

God, for the most part, has been a father figure, providing the needed instruction and discipline that helps us succeed. He carries us in his hands and we enjoy the protection he offers like a father.

Recognised or not, celebrated or not, we are fathers, we will keep doing what is expected of us. To provide, protect and instruct. To show love and sacrifice ourselves for our kids. That is what we do.
