In Dad's arms
Hello, friends welcome to my post in which I have discussed "In Dad's arms" as part of my participation in this 👉contest
- Does your culture celebrate Father's Day this coming Sunday, June 15th? How does your culture celebrate it?
Father's Day is highly celebrated across the world, which is mostly on Sunday as this year, Father will be celebrated on the 15th of June, 2025. In my country, Nigeria it is celebrated in a Christian way as there is no cultural way of celebrating it in my village. My village honors Father's Day, but it is not celebrated culturally. Father's Day in my village usually begins at church during service, when fathers are called to the altar to receive prayer, and then their families begin to wish them well. The celebration continues at home after church service.
The celebration of Father's Day in my country includes giving gifts and cards, spending quality time together with families, eating meals or playing games, and recognizing and honoring through actions, words, and gifts. Indeed, it is a unique day in my country in which families determine how the celebration would be.
- From 1 to 10, how important is it to celebrate Father's Day?
Father's Day is important to celebrate for the following reasons:
Father's Day strengthens family bonds
It is a time to express love and appreciate father figure.
Father's Day encourages reflection on the role of fatherhood, be it biological, spiritual, or emotional father figure.
- If you had the opportunity to make a hypothetical celebration plan with your father or other affectionate father figure, what would it be like? (Example: go fishing together, watch a soccer game, have a barbecue, go to the movies, go to a bar...)
If I had the opportunity to make a hypothetical celebration plan with my father it would be like this:
In the morning I will have breakfast and coffee together at home
In the afternoon, I will go on fishing, or nature walk with my father in a grounding and peaceful way.
In the evening, I will have a barbecue or delicious home-cooked food with every member of my family who is present together, sharing stories or listening to music.
My motivation will be intentional to create bonds and connections in my family.
- Do you identify with the following Bible verse in Deuteronomy 1:31 that says: " He has brought us here as if he were carrying us in his arms, and so far nothing has happened to us. He has been a father to us "?
The Bible verse is so lovely and captures the image of God's telling us about fatherly care in carrying family along, guiding and protecting the family. Even though I am not yet a father, the verse has a deep meaning when reflected on the purpose of the verse is for fathers to always reflect and work towards achieving the following in their family: gratitude for past guidance, have trust in divine protection and have a sense of being supported and cherished.
I am inviting: @entity01, @sur-riti, and @shabbir86
Thank you friend for inviting me to this unique competition. Spare a few moments for our creator who deserves the credit for bringing us to this earth.
Hello @josepha!
Great job!
