meeting old friends

Today was a particularly enjoyable day for me. Amidst the hustle and bustle of my daily routine, I was given the opportunity to reconnect with an old friend I hadn't seen in quite some time. This unexpected encounter took place at a car wash (motorcycle wash), where we both brought our motorcycles to be cleaned. Unexpectedly, our conversation flowed quickly, filled with jokes and nostalgia for the past that made the time seem fleeting. While waiting for the bikes to be cleaned, we ordered coffee and sat relaxed, sharing stories from our lives. Moments like these feel incredibly precious, especially amidst busy schedules that make meetings rare.

After sunset I went home and was greeted by the warm atmosphere of my little family. What made my heart bloom the most tonight was seeing my nephew with his cute behavior. He wore a large helmet that looked too big on his head, while enthusiastically riding his favorite minibike. Laughter broke out when he saw him spinning around in the yard, as if he was racing in a large arena. Simple happiness like this really is a comfort after a long day of activities.

As evening approached, my body began to feel tired and my stomach was hungry. I asked my wife to make my favorite simple meal: instant noodles with a fried egg. The aroma of the noodles slowly cooking filled the kitchen and living room. Soon, a plate of warm noodles complete with a fried egg was served before Sayan. We enjoyed it together in the living room, while chatting lightly about the day's events.

Today may seem ordinary, but the small moments I experienced brought me extraordinary joy. Meeting old friends, my nephew's innocent laughter, and a plate of warm noodles made by my beloved wife are reminders of simple joys, as long as we can enjoy them with gratitude. May the days ahead continue to bring similar blessings and joy.
