Greetings lovely Recreative Steemians. It's with great honour and ecstasy that I write here again. Today I'll be participating on a contest by @ciru2014 on the above topic "The Eyes Don't Lie".

What does "the eyes don't lie" mean?

This expression in my opinion means that the eyes of a person can't ever betray a person's inner thoughts. If you ask a person a question and the person claims that thd answer to your question is yes but when you stare thd person in the eyes, it seems like a no then it is a no. The language of the person's eye is more trustworthy than the person's utterance.

Do you think the eyes have a life of their own?

Well, not particularly but I know that the eyes can betray a person's decision or stance meaning that it is not dependent on what the person wants. The person could want deny an answer but the eyes may fail him or her.

Is it true that a look can reveal more than a word?

Yes it is. Few days ago, my younger sister and I went to a shop to buy some biscuits. I picked the cheap biscuits and asked her to make her choice. She picked the biggest biscuit in the carton attempting to hold on to ot and eventually take it home. I gave her a stern and unwavering look which must have expressed a thousand words because she dropped the expensive biscuit immediately I looked at her. Without saying a word, I got her to do what I wanted so yes, a look can reveal more than a word.

How can we detect lies in the eyes?

Shakiness, excessive blinking, inability of the other person to stare you in the the eyes shows that the person is lying whereas on the other hand, if the person can look boldly into your own eyes without shiver, then chances are, no lies.

In the picture above, I was in a bad mood while taking the shots. I feigned a fake smile but my eyes gave me off. If you look closely, you'll notice my eyes tell that I was sad.
