Daily work/study Routine

INTRODUCTION

Greetings dear Steemians and happy new month to you all. It's good to be here. I'm @destinedhanik from Nigeria and I'm here to talk on my daily work routine. First of all, I'm a teacher in a private school and my everyday life is all about school and books, and I'll like you to know about the things I do daily.

My Early morning Routine

I wake up on weekdays by 5am. This is to help me finish early for work as the time book is crossed by 7:15am. When I wake up, I tidy up my surroundings and make food to eat. I finish before 7am or at most 7am. I usually stroll down to work as I'm living in the staff quarters in the school compound. My breakfast most times is usually tea and bread. This is because it's the fastest food to make tho it's not really heavy.

My breakfast

When I arrive at school, by 7:30am, the bell is rang for morning assembly and we all gather to pray and commit the day to God.

Morning Assembly

After the morning assembly, the students are dismissed to return to their various classes abd teaching starts in full session till break time which is by 11:30am and then continues from 12pm.till 3pm. There are days I have few classes to teach but there are also days I have as much as 8 classes in a day.

On days like Fridays, we have sports where the students and teachers exercise themselves. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

School dismisses by 3pm and everyone returns to their home. When I get home, I make lunch to eat first before continuing with my note of lesson before attending to other things.

My lunch is mostly a heavily meal of garri and soup

I continue writing my lesson note when I get home.

After taking my lunch and writing my lesson note, when I get tired, I decide to rest by watching movie or reading novels and then when I feel sleepy, I sleep and then I repeat the same routine the next working day.

Do you enjoy your work/study or would you like a new opportunity elsewhere?

I enjoy my work routine but I'm not satisfied with it. This is because it's lots of work, tho I'm passionate about it but with less pay. Passion doesn't pay bills so I would have loved a new opportunity elsewhere. I enjoy it because I enjoy the company of my students, I live their inquisitiveness, the fact that I read a lot before going to class so as to be abreast of the topic I'm to teach.

Summarize what your work/study entails and whether you're satisfied with the routine you're following to successfully achieve it, or if you could improve by doing something else.

My work entails studying to teach the students. I'm not satisfied with the routine as I'm not really challenged the way I would love to academically. I really want to improve. I would have loved to go through some trainings to improve myself and go higher but unfortunately, I can't do that now due to financial constraints. I would love to be able to teach students in other countries and earn more. I would love to teach very bigger schools and be really known in my field, but I believe one day, I'll get there.
