Sunday Ramble on Monday — Everything Takes Longer Than Expected! (Ulog-ish post)
A good example of what the title of this post suggests would be the fact that I intended to write this post this yesterday morning and I actually got started now at around 5:50pm, Sunday... and I am finishing trying to finish up around 9:15am on Monday... but to no avail, because it is now 6:30pm on Monday... and, oh wait, now it's 9:15pm on Monday.
Potholes in the road... of life?
As you can see, I will once again not have sat here and gotten it done in a single sitting, because there was other stuff clamoring for my attention.
Which all serves as an important reminder to me — and potentially for a few other people reading these words — that social media and blogging is not my JOB. It's something I do as a nice diversion — even though we do earn a reward of sorts — and so, writing often gets relegated to the back burner.
I could use the excuse that things are moving a little more slowly because my primary work computer is at the repair center... but it is just that: An Excuse. The bottom line is that it just takes a lot of time to handle the "basics" of simply being alive in the year 2020.
As a self-employed person, what has made 2020 particularly frustrating is the fact that I am actually working more than I have in previous years, and the rewards for my work amounts to less.
I have never minded hard work, however it gradually becomes demoralizing to put in more and more effort, only to still see no improvement. A lot of people I know talk about "hanging in there," but sometimes I have to wonder just how much hanging we all have to do before something "breaks."
I think back to the days here on Steemit when we would write posts that sometimes made $50-75, and it truly felt like it made a difference to really put some effort into blogging. Of course, I had plenty of posts that made a few cents, too!
Meanwhile, it has now taken me long enough to write this that the Electoral College has formally voted Joe Biden as the new President of the USA. I can only say that I wish him well!
In the meantime, Bitcoin looks to be having another run at the $20,000 mark... wonder if it's going to happen, this time. And what will happen, once that milestone is reached? Another runup, or another decline? I'm afraid my "crystal ball" has been broken for a while...
Well, I guess I'd better publish this jumble... before it becomes Wednesday!
Hope you're all having a good start to your week!

It is sometimes that you have such blockage, you have ideas and will to sit down and write but it is difficult to find right words.
Somehow I have the same feeling recently with writing posts too. Is it maybe due to hectic time and preparation to Christmas when we want to make sure we have not forgotten all the relatives, prepared presents and sent in time, so that we do not feel guilty. I myself, have very bad feeling if I forget to congratulate our relatives or if the post comes with delay. Like today I managed to sent 4 cards but bought two more on the way back, as we do not travel to Germany as we usually do so there are some more people. What about you and your Mrs, are you ready for festive days?
