How Technology Changed Our Daily Life
Assalam O Alaikum wa Rahmatullah!
Let’s start with the morning. Many people now use mobile phones for alarm clocks. We no longer need traditional clocks. After getting up, we check our mobile for news, weather updates and messages to friends. Some people use smart home devices to turn on lights and make coffee.
In education, technology has made learning easier. Students can attend online classes, watch YouTube video for help and apps use like Google Classroom and Zoom. In the past, we have to go to library to collect information. Now we just search on Google and find answers in seconds.
Work life has also changed. Many people now work from home by using laptop and the internet. Meetings are held on Zoom and Microsoft Teams in place of offices. Files are shared on cloud services like Google Drive and Dropbox. This saves time, travel and even money.
Shopping is another big change. In past, we had to go to market and malls. Now, with only few clicks, we can buy clothes, home items and even furniture online. Apps like Daraz, Amazon and Foodpanda took everything to our home.
Communication is faster than before. We can call, text and video chat with anyone in the world with apps like WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. Long distance relationships and friendships are easier to connect now.
Health and fitness are also influenced by technology. People use smart watches to track steps, heart rate and sleep. Doctors now give online consultations. Health apps remind us to drink water and take medicine on time.
Even entertainment has changed. We do not wait for TV shows anymore. We watch movies and series on Netflix and YouTube whenever we want. Kids play video games and adults listen to podcasts or audiobooks during free time.
Transport has become more comfortable too. We book rides on apps like Uber or Careem. Google Maps facilitates us find the shortest road. Some cars even have smart screens and voice assistants inside.
But with all the good sides, there are also some bad impacts. Too much screen time affects our eyes and health. Children spend less time outdoors. People mostly ignore to spend time with family and enjoy nature. So, we must use technology wisely.
