A Word on the Status of Internet in the Philippines
I started using the internet during the late 1990’s. Back then the we commonly hear a squeezing sound of a dialup network. But once connected, its heaven already. Having to jump from information to information, page to page, thats surfing. Speed is not an issue.
Nowadays, the internet is like water, electricity, or fuel, a commodity much needed by everyone. Not being connected to the network is like going to days of our grandparents.
In the Philippines, who pride so much of its overseas workers, where communication is vital for every family. As Filipino youths use the world wide web for entertainment, games and a bunch of educational purposes. Speed and data matters. Even the cost is already at cloud levels.
Disatisfaction to the service given by the two telecom giant company, Globe and PLDT are rising.
This is my home broadband costing me 1,500.00 pesos every month.
Stats taken the office broadband and in the house.
