3 Simple Rules Of Winning
In whatever you do, be it education, work, career, business, etc, the ultimate idea is to succeed and win in it. However, there are rules that guide every aspect of life, which when followed, will deliver the benefits to you. In life, there are rules that must be followed which can lead you to the pathway of winning. Here, we shall take just three but very important rules that will position you towards winning. Remember that the result that you get from life is a direct product of the actions you have taken, which includes the rules and laws you observe.

The first rule is to start early. The truth is that time is a very essential determinant of success. Whatever you want to do, there is always a time frame that you need to do it for it to be valid. I remember what a friend told me some weeks back about why he did not make it to the military. The form for the Defence Academy came out, so while he was trying to get the requirements, the window period for the submission was drawing to a close. While it was remaining just a few days, he got the entire document. It was on a Friday, but the closing date was the coming Monday. Instead of him to access the portal and make the submission, he deferred it to Monday. When the Monday came, the site was clogged because of the massive entries. He tried throughout the day but unluckily, the day passed and the portal closed. This would have easily and comfortably been avoided if he started on time.
It is always good to start on time in everything you want to do, so as to use time in your advantage. If you start on time and make mistake, you will still have enough time to make corrections and learn your lessons. But if you do not start on time, every step will be critical. There is a kind of positive energy associated with starting on time. More so, you will also enjoy "early starters grace." Some people that you see as being lucky simply knew how to take advantage of timing, and they used it in their favour. If you miss the right timing in what you want to do, you might experience unnormal struggles. But when you flow with the right time, you will meet more opportunities.
The second rule is to work better than you did yesterday. In a task for example, you might take an action and get the result, but you should not relent because more tasks are awaiting you. The higher you go, the more tasks you are expected to complete. This is why, when you were in primary school, you did not do as much as you did when you entered secondary school. And when you enter University, you will still be expected to do more, because more things are at stake, the prize is bigger, and the level is higher.
Each day you live should be an improvement on the previous day. You cannot keep working at the same level you did yesterday and expect to have an improved result. If you want a better result, then you have to work better. This is not just limited to working harder, but also working smarter. Just to let you know, each day that passes, the world is getting more complex, more demanding, more competitive, and even more tasking, so you will need to work better than you did yesterday in order to keep up with the demands of this world that is evolving with speed.

The last rule that we will look at here is to learn something new daily. The command you gain in life is a direct function of what you know. As a matter of fact, the one who knows something extensively well is usually master to the one who does not know. It is true that you cannot acquire the whole knowledge in the world, and you cannot know everything, but as much as is within your capacity, try to learn something new. You can learn something from anything, from anyone, from your relationships and interactions with people. A friend once made a statement sometimes ago and I will conclude with it; "you keep living while you keep learning, and you stop living when you stop learning."
