Optical system of an LCD projector_II_Part
Introduction
I will be alternating content like this and others related to other topics of our day to day, it is important to remember that this type of optical instrument is very useful in our academies because through them we can project our classes and also in color and movement, this makes us highlight the great value of this type of technological tool, and also be able to describe each of its particular optical elements, which are responsible for the treatment of light transporting our images to project.
In our first delivery we relate to the mercury lamp and its great value for this type of optical instrument, because it is ultra high pressure, offering great power in lighting and its valuable capacity for durability, this time we will relate to dichroic mirrors, its operation and usefulness for this type of image projector.
Dichroic mirror
As we know a mirror is a particular optical element whose surface is polished, this characteristic allows it to reflect the luminous rays that transport the images, if we observe the scheme or structure where all the elements are shown we notice how these mirrors receive the powerful rays of light emitted by the mercury lamp, therefore, the function of these dichroic mirrors is to reflect these rays of light, but, selectively, and this way let pass certain wavelengths representative of a particular color, all colors have different wavelengths which allows both our eyes and any optical system can distinguish between a color and another.
Therefore, this type of mirror will allow the passage of a certain wavelength or color and the other will reflect it, in other words, this wonderful optical instrument is manufactured with the intention of reflecting only a part of our visible spectral fraction (white or visible light), therefore, we can consider it as a filter of light waves and at the same time an element of reflection of the rest of the waves representative of the other colors of our spectral fraction.
Conclusion
In this way we continue to expand our knowledge in relation to all elements of the optical system of the essential optical instrument as it is the LCD projector, so far we have analyzed the ultra-powerful mercury lamp and its great capacity to emit light, and this time to the wonderful dichroic mirrors, the latter considered a filter and both reflective of a certain portion of colors of our visible spectrum, or white light, as white light is the composition of various colors, the rainbow is a clear example of the above.
Actually there are many technological advances that we can find around us and each of them with a purpose, and also components of wonderful optical instruments like the LCD projector, later we will continue with the description of another important optical component of the optical system of the LDC projector.
Until another opportunity my dear and appreciated readers.

Hello friend, as always an excellent publication, I congratulate you for daring to write about other topics, I think you do very well, it is good for our creativity and you are a great writer. Thank you for sharing it. Greetings!
Hello dear friend @franyeligonzalez.
Thank you for your positive evaluation of my work. In my beginnings I wrote a little less about STEM content, then I adapted to such content that I love to write in the field of science, but it is important to express that we must diversify our content and thus be able to be observed by other authors.
Actually grateful for your great recommendation, we continue reading each other and many successes for you and your family.
Hi @rbalzan79
These apparently unsophisticated instruments in today's light played an important role in the most current developments.
Undoubtedly, and it is observed that physics is one of the applied sciences in this aspect.
Hello friend @josevas217.
In reality there are many optical devices that go unnoticed but have great utility in our lives and thus in our development as human beings, physical science is one of the most influential in terms of understanding our precious environment.
An example of this is to have given us, as best as possible, the understanding of the phenomenon of light and all the useful aspects for its application in other areas such as technology.
Thanks friend for commenting, many successes for you and your loved ones. A fraternal greeting.
