Millions of Pioneers took part in the Ecosystem Challenge
More than 2.6 million users participated in this Ecosystem Challenge which ran from 28 June 2025 to 7 July 2025, out of which 7.61 lakh completed all 8 steps and also won a special limited edition username badge and color. This event showed to what extent Pi's global community is ready to adopt and test new features.
Pi App Studio Now you can create apps without coding
Launched on Pi2Day 2025, Pi App Studio is an AI powered tool that gives anyone the opportunity to create an app even if they do not have technical knowledge. With the help of this tool, anyone can now turn their idea into a real app.
Since the introduction of this new feature:
More than 7,600 chatbot apps have been created.
More than 14,100 custom apps have been published.
More than 34,800 people have used App Studio, many of which are not yet published.
Some fun apps created with this studio include:
Pi-Tris: A game that creates lines by dropping blocks.
BLACKHOLE: A chatbot that provides information related to space and the universe.
Healthy Life: A helper that gives health tips.
FlapPi Bird: A game that takes a flying bird between walls.
All of this shows how innovation can be promoted at the grassroots level when technology is accessible to everyone.
Ecosystem Directory Staking, Support Your Favorite Apps
The second special feature among the two new major updates of Pi Network launched on Pi2Day 2025 was – Ecosystem Directory Staking. Through this, users i.e. Pioneers can support their favorite apps through staking. Staking means that users show how much they like an app by locking their Pi Token for some time.
According to Pi Network:
More than 37.7 million Pi Tokens were staked.
Of these, 25 million tokens are still actively staked.
More than 16,700 users staked on 1,450 different apps.
This feature gives the Pi Community the power to decide for themselves which apps should be given more importance.
