Currency and Money during Inflation

in Project HOPElast month

That item you're spending that you name money just feels and looks like money; it's actually a digital type of credit, an IOU that is printed at all times and in virtually all problems. In today's environment, inflation is an unavoidable reality. It is a feature of the system, not a bug.

With this form of economy, we can be certain that those who save are punished, and savings are reduced to a ludicrous amount. But it's called currency, so why worry? Okay, let me briefly explain what currency is. It is a means of exchange that transfers from one hand to the other, allowing us to trade and pay for goods. Money is a store of value that is utilized to save and maintain purchasing power. With this explanation, you will be able to determine the difference. The dollar is a currency, but gold and Bitcoin are money.

Now that I've described both, do you have money or currency? Many individuals do not have money; instead, they use currency that the government owns, manages, and devalues. The government has planned inflation such that it never knocks. It is constantly there, waiting to rob from you in terms of time.

Inflation works differently than your wage. Everything you buy is going up, from gasoline to groceries, and even a supper out might be so expensive that you have to reconsider, yet your salary remains same. Funny how there is always someone to blame, with politicians blaming the supply chain and company owners putting it on demand, but no one blames the creation of money.

Interbank transfer is a game of confidence, not money availability, and it is just a domino effect since a minor failure may bring the economy down and render your money meaningless. In fact, we live in a world where inflation has become a part of our system, therefore it is critical to be able to distinguish between money and fiat, and to continue developing your finances so that they do not lose value.
