Its A Game Of Choice
Your life is a sum up of the choices you make from childhood to adulthood. From birth, we are a parcel of potential, shaped by family, society, education, and the people around us. Everything that I have listed comes into play when determining if a person would be successful or not.
Some people are risk takers while some are conservatives but these people have to deal with one of two things; failure or regret. One is an option for trying but not the only option while the other is the only option for not trying at all. Failure can be very heartbreaking, affecting your emotions, and can be very embarrassing. Moreover, there are but several times that a person can fail before they start to feel tired of the game. With failure comes growth and with trials comes the ability to explore making it a temporary setback while regret is permanent since you never did it. Failure comes with learning, rising, and knowing better while regret eats from within, and is carried throughout one's life.
As I mentioned, choices determine what we will become, and one of the choices we are bound to make is being what we want or being what our parents want us to be. A lot of people are living the life that someone wants them to live. A lot of parents dictate for their children the class they want them to be in, the course they want them to study, the career they want them to pick and the way of life they want for them but as a person, you should not let anyone dictate for you. The reality is that if you end up miserable because you listen to the advice of a friend, a teacher, a priest, or anyone else, then you should be the one to be blamed, and you deserve such a life.
A lot of people who follow what people say do so because they are not educated enough for growth. Talking about growth, some people want to be entertained instead of educating themselves. Whichever they pick then determines if they want to enjoy the present or secure the future. You are always trading with the future and it is up to you to decide if you want to trade it for pleasure now or pleasure in the future.
Another choice to make is if you want to be surrounded by winners or losers. This point is very important because you are a combination of the people you are surrounded by. You are the average of the 5 people you spend time with. If you decide to work with people who are investing in themselves regularly, then you will automatically follow suit because you will not want to be left behind but if you are interacting with people who are not growth-oriented, you are certainly going to remain at a spot for a very long time.
You either work for it or you live without it, your choice is yours. Everything in our life requires working and nothing requires play. You have to work for what you have else you’ll live without it completely. The choice is yours my friend.
