An official statement issued by PiChain Global has informed that the passwords of some users of Pi Network have been leaked and this could put their digital assets at risk. This leak has happened through Pi Browser, from where cyber attackers can steal user data and access their crypto holdings.

Pi Network has built a large crypto community in recent years, especially in countries where people want to do crypto mining without investment. But now questions are being raised on the security of this network.

Password leak warning
PiChain Global issued a red alert on X and said that they have received reports from many users that suspicious activities are taking place from their accounts. This strengthens the suspicion that some passwords and login details of Pi Network have been leaked.

PCM (Pi Chain Mall) wallet users are being specifically targeted in this attack. Seeing the possibility of this leak through Pi Browser, PiChain Global has advised to take some security measures immediately.

Important Security Measures for Pi Network Users

  1. Download PCM Wallet – All users are advised to download Pi Chain Mall’s PCM Wallet from the official website or from Apple App Store/Google Play.

  2. Bind Email Address – During registration, users have to enter the same email ID with which they want to login to PCM Wallet. But do not link the account immediately after registration.

  3. Complete KYC Process – It is mandatory to fill the “Know Your Customer” (KYC) form within PCM Wallet. This will verify your identity and also increase your security. If you want to know about Pi Network KYC Verification Process, then click on the link and read the related article.

  4. Send Binding Request – Users need to send an email to [email protected], which includes the following information:

Pi Network Username (eg @yourusername)

Email ID to which you want to link the wallet

Profile screenshot of the Pi Network App

Selfie with your government ID

This process will securely bind your email.

Cyber attacks on the rise

As the number of users on platforms like Pi Network is increasing, the risk of cyber attacks is also increasing. Attacks like password leaks and phishing attacks are a serious warning. This is not the first time this is happening in the crypto world. Earlier also many big exchanges and projects have become victims of such attacks.

What should users do now?

Pi Network users should now be proactive and take responsibility for their digital security. Just downloading the app or doing KYC is not enough, but it is important to adopt a multi-layer security.

Our advice:

All users should immediately download PCM Wallet and complete the KYC process.

Create strong passwords and keep different passwords for each platform.

Enable two-factor authentication (2FA).

Beware of suspicious emails and phishing websites.

Use only official websites and apps.

Also, Pi Network should release an official statement and security update as soon as possible to maintain trust among users.
