Dear all, the today the world is celebrating Good Friday. I have a holiday on this occasion. This is the day of a great importance for the Christian Community all over the world. Good Friday which is also known as the Holy Friday and Black Friday, is the day when Lord Jesus Christ had to suffer great pain and sufferings in the hand of the the people for whom he sacrificed his life. He is believed to be the son of God Almighty who came on earth to absolve our sins and take us to heaven.

He preached non-violence and humanity. His teachings are very important in the present world which has become more violent and selfish. However, his teachings were not liked by the orthodox Jews who considered his teachings against their religious beliefs. Hence, they pressurized the Roman governor Pontius Pilate to execute him. According to Gospels, his disciple Judas assisted his arrest. On order of the ruler he was crucified on this day. Before that he had to carry cruse on his shoulders and his hands and feet were nailed on it. It was an agonizing death. It is believed that he resurrect after three days which is celebrated as Easter Sunday.

I am a religious person but have a rational view about religious stories. I believe that "Jesus of Nazareth" was one of the greatest humanitarian person ever lived on this planet. He preached about non-violence and love which was not liked by the people who wanted to subdue the public with violence. They were afraid that his teachings would open the minds of ordinary people. So, they arranged his death in an agonizing way. Jesus is not with us but his teachings are eternal and powerful. Who believes in humanity, compassion and love will always appreciate Jesus. Your fasting and services are useless unless you don't become a true human being. Changing own mind and mindset is the way of praising Jesus.

May this day bring peace to your heart and blessings for you. May our soul be free of hatred and selfishness. Amen!
